Super friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable, a fantastic view and an excellent situation in a historically interesting area near the waterfalls and old town cafes and restaurants. Good breakfast with home baking and homemade cherry (a local speciality) jam. If you have a car it makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area including the Macedonian palace sites at Pella and Vergina (the royal tombs there are the most interesting).and even Thessaloniki.

In the centre of the city, walking distance to the new or the old part, close to the waterfalls, through the old neighborhood of Varosi, spaceful, clean. Very kind staff - gave us recommendations for directions inside and also outside of the town, allowed the stay of our car further than the check out time.

Apartment was nice, clean and tidy, instructions given by owners before our arrival were precise, there is free parking 100m from the apartment in the government office yard, apartment location is fantastic - close to city center and of course waterfalls :)
This 18th-century mansion was traditionally restored using wood and local stone. Rooms have romantic décor with brass beds and lace curtains. A breakfast with homemade delicacies is offered.

Mrs Eleni and her husband are very helpful, and their personal touch (basket with fruits + snacks, decoration, amenities) make the stay very comfortable!
Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Cottage Lina is set in Edessa. This recently renovated holiday home is located 36 km from Loutra Pozar and 49 km from Vergina -Aigai.
Very nice and an underrated city. It is well-known for its waterfalls, but it has also other parts to be discovered - the old part of the city called Varosi, museums, churches etc. The city of Edessa takes its name from the surrounding water and the whole city is oriented with the river and the cultural aspects of it. I highly recommend a stay overnight, because 1 day is not enough to see everything.
Combination with Thessaloniki or other towns in the region are possible, e.g. Kastoria.

Edessa, also known as the "City of Waters and of the 5...
Edessa, also known as the "City of Waters and of the 5 Senses", until 1923 Vodena, is a city in northern Greece and the capital of the Pella regional unit, in the Central Macedonia region of Greece. It was also the capital of the defunct province of the same name.
Edessa holds a special place in the history of the Greek world as, according to some ancient sources, it was here that Caranus established the first capital of ancient Macedon. Later, under the Byzantine Empire, Edessa benefited from its strategic location, controlling the Via Egnatia as it enters the Pindus mountains, and became a center of medieval Greek culture, famed for its strong walls and fortifications.
In the modern period, Edessa was one of Greece's industrial centers until the middle of the 20th century, with many textile factories operating in the city and its immediate vicinity. Today however its economy mainly relies on services and tourism. Edessa hosts most of the administrative services of the Pella regional unit, as well as some departments of the Thessaloniki-based University of Macedonia.

If you've ever been to a cave before, there's no point in paying to enter the one behind the waterfall. The neighborhood is charming.
After 10 pm is difficult to find open restaurant.

A nice little town to escape the heat at sea level, and as a step stone to visit the higher mountains.
The tourist information was very helpful and informative.
We have signed for a year-long citizenship, which buys a free access to the city's rent-a-bike for 1 EURO.
Take a short bike ride or walk to the waterfalls, the old city and the scenic route overlooking the valley below.
Enjoy the drinking water taps across the city and the streams flowing through it.
The tourist information's advice for local restaurants was nothing short of perfect.
During July, roadside plum and pear trees are burdened by sweet colorful fruits, take your time to enjoy a few as you travel this area.
The house was beautifully designed. Every little detail was thought of and was taken care of in the most perfect way. The location is right in the center and a walking distance from where you want to go in Edessa.
The owners were extremely nice and inviting, they showed us where to go and had great English. They also left a box of treats that we're great. If I could rate more than 10, I would.
Everything was great. The room was clean with new furniture and it had great view to the monument of Alexander the Great. The staff was polite and tried to help us with whatever was needed. The hotel is located in the very center of the city. It is impossible to find parking nearby. But everything else was great. We would come to this hotel again.
Everything. The best accommodation we had in Greece.
We arrived in storm and wind and when we opened the door the fire was already burning and Raki was waiting for us. We took a shower in the super clean bathroom and slept like king and queen in the very very comfortable bed.
We can recommend everyone to stay here and not in another place!
Everything was perfect!
The staff was very friendly, polite and willing to help.
They gave us a map and guides and recommendations about restaurants and the hot spots of the city.
The hotel is located on a traditional area of city.
The room was very clean and tidy.
Lovely traditional B&B just minutes' walk from the waterfalls and city centre. The room and reception areas were done up to feel like your grandma's house rather than a hotel, so we felt at home right away. Loved the tea and coffee facilities and robe and slippers!
The hotel is quite old but the hosts have kept it very clean and have managed to keep the facilities functional to a good standard!
The staff was very kind and helped us with everything we needed
The location is excellent and the parking free and available!
The old quarter of Edessa is shabby chic, full of charm - nothing shabby about the Varosi 4 Seasons though, a beautiful old stone mansion, lovingly restored, with a grand reception and lounge area and fabulous views over the plains below.
Absolutelly perfect :) The apartment was very new, clean and nice. The staff also, very kind and helpful. We absolutly recommend this apartment. Edessa is beautiful small city with great restaurants, people and the nature :)
You feel as if you are a guest in old Greek house - with stone walls, fireplace, handmade curtains, etc. Varosi is an interesting old part of the town. Famous waterfalls are in 5 minutes' walk from the hotel
The food was amazing the best by far and we’re 1.5 weeks into our trip. The staff (family) went out of their way. The views were beautiful It is 7km away from
Edessa close enough to visit.
The apartment is clean and it isn´t far to the center of Edessa or the waterfall. The host was extremly friendly and she told us everything we needed to know about our stay.
Simply luxury level fitout, big, spacious, new. Beds very comfortable and bedding luxurious. Very quiet location in Edessa, but still not far from the Main Street.
Rather large room, has everything one would expect from such hotel.
Nice balcony on the fifth floor.
We were asked if we would like to upgrade free of charge.
The appartment was very comfortable and clean. It's location was at city center, and very close to Edessa's waterfalls. Host was very polite and eager to help.
