The staff were all perfectly friendly and helpful, and the hotel bar was also nice. I didn't make use of the car park, but it seemed well appointed and easy to use if one needed it. The location is also very convenient to a lot of University of Warwick buildings (probably the main reason most people would stay here) and the university bus interchange.
A 20-minute drive from Birmingham NEC, Days Inn Corley is just off the M6 motorway and offers modern rooms with a flat-screen TV. There is free on-site parking and free WiFi.

It was a great bank holiday weekend stay and Ijked to be able to walk around in Coventry and the little villages nearby.
The rooms were a decent size, I didn't appreciate the divider door in my room, though, or the DDT on the bedsheets which is a cause of pancreatic cancer and also diabetes.
I would stay here again. It was a shame about the breakfast being over the footbridge as it is difficult for someone like me to walk over the footbridge without getting an increase heart rate because of that pressure and no open windows over the footbridge.but anyways it was decent

Ibis Coventry Center is going Cashless from 1st August 2023 With a superb central location, right in the historic center of the city and just 5 minutes’ walk from Coventry Railway Station, the Ibis...
It has all necessary for a couple of days in the city
Southeast of Birmingham, Coventry is best known for the shell of its old cathedral, a poignant reminder of the damage sustained during World War II. Part of its northern wall joins the new Modernist cathedral, designed by Sir Basil Spence.
In the neighboring gardens, there are remains of an 11th-century Benedictine monastery set up by Lord Leofric. His wife, Lady Godiva, became Coventry’s greatest legend by riding naked on horseback in protest of her husband’s high taxes.
St. Mary’s Guildhall is built on part of the old castle, and Baginton on the city’s outskirts houses the reconstructed Roman Lunt Fort. Coventry Airport is also here, by the Midland Air Museum, where the exhibits include a Vulcan.
The Coventry Transport Museum has great examples of vehicles manufactured in the city over the years. Another point of interest are the canals north of the city's center, lined by historic buildings. Other attractions include the Warwick Arts Centre – the UK’s 2nd largest – and the Ricoh Arena, home of Coventry City FC. The Sky Dome Arena is an ice hockey and music venue, while the best shopping is found in Arena Park Center.
The city has 2 universities and tons of bars and restaurants. There are also several Coventry hotels, guesthouses and country houses on Booking.com, most with parking and some with pools.
As former residence of Coventry we didn't visit the city.
As former residence of Coventry we didn't visit the city. We were going to Oxford and the Cocked Hat was ideally placed for outward and return journeys from Yorkshire.
One place that we always visit in Coventry is the War Memorial Park which is good for a walk with free parking for 3 hours and a park and ride bus running every half hour.

I have visited Coventry a few times and every time I come back I am pleased with my trip. Beautiful architecture and friendly people. The diverse food options are great and the food is tasty and cheap! Citizens are helpful and polite which is refreshing when you’re from down south. Popeys and Chinese kitchen are always a bargain and full of flavour, although they are not in the city centre but they are worth a try :)
The cathedral is always worth a visit! As well as the museum which is next to it, there are lots of statues and details which hold the city’s culture and history.
The market is also worth a visit full of culture from Irish to African, the people are welcoming and are not trying to haggle your money. It is easy to get around as everything is closer than you would expect.

As the ‘motor city’ Coventry should have better traffic...
As the ‘motor city’ Coventry should have better traffic management; it’s a bit of a nightmare to navigate at busy times. But there are many worthy attractions and Coventry is starting to move out from under the shadow of Birmingham. The new rail station is good to see and there are so many lovely old buildings to explore. (The latter somewhat reduce the impact of so many high rise student flats. What possessed the local council to dish out so many permits for student accom? They do not enhance the skyline, never mind the well-being of residents.)

We adored the water features in the middle of the pavement!
We adored the water features in the middle of the pavement! So many sequences and lights ,fascinating. The Museum and wildlife photography exhibition brilliant, the Cathedral and ruins, the wonderful market. Neither my sister and I had visited before so were delighted not just to see the statue of Lady Godiva, but the amazing event which happens every hour on the building behind her. Amusing and well worth watching. ( Naughty peeping Tom ! )
All in all Coventry has amazing choices of where and what to eat. The Old Wetherspoons is well worth a visit. We went twice. We are certainly planning another visit before the end of the year. Shirl

I'm from Coventry and know it well.
I'm from Coventry and know it well. Although I feel affection for my home city, I don't actually like it very much.
There are some brilliant attractions, nice restaurants, and the city centre can be pleasant on a summer's day; however much of the city looks dirty and worn, and I don't always feel safe walking in the city at night. For this reason a city centre hotel with parking on the outskirts entails using cabs or buses to reach the car, which adds expense.
I think for a visitor though those things are manageable; Coventry's no worse, probably better and safer, than many cities; it's just not like it was when I grew up there.
I'm surprised the Transport Museum and the Herbert Gallery are not listed as attractions to rate here. The city also has a proud and deserved musical heritage (Two-Tone) and there are exhibits about this, and some wonderfully preserved mediaeval buildings (Spon Street and elsewhere). There is a fascinating preserved archaeological dig in the cathedral quarter that was extensively covered by Time Team.

There's plenty to do for a weekend visit: the Transport Museum is one none of the best in the country & certainly one located in the middle of the city centre. Herbert Gallery has a great location in a terrific building & location. Coventry Cathedral is beautiful & unique & a wonderful example of post-war British architecture as is the shopping area made up of a series of interlocking pedestrian precincts that was Britain's first. The 1950s architecture is fantastic & a little bit like time-travelling as it is largely complete & unspoilt.
There is plenty of shopping opportunities with a really wide mix of shops that makes the city centre a place for everyone & this is shown to be true as, at the weekends, it's full of people & provides a dynamic atmosphere to the city.
The ambience at the hotel was lovely. The decor was quirky, fun and different , and the history of it came alive.
The staff were friendly and relaxed and it was very clean. The location is brilliant for Coventry, everything in the city centre is in walking distance, and the hotel were very good at informing guests at what events were going on in the city (we went for the Arctic Monkeys concert but Motofest was on at the weekend as well) -and they had full transport guides, maps of the festival etc -it was excellent. Breakfast was lovely
I CAN'T PRAISE ALL THE STAFF ENOUGH FOR THE KINDNESS THAT WAS SHOWN TO ME DURING MY STAY AT THE DOUBLE TREE HILTON COVENTRY STADIUM. MY DAD CAME FROM COVENTRY AND IT WAS ON MY BUCKET LIST TO WATCH COVENTRY PLAY FOOTBALL. THE HOTEL BEING NEXT-DOOR TOTHE STADIUM WAS A BONUS, COVENTRY WINNING THE GAME WAS EVEN BETTER.
THANK YOU AGAIN TO ALL WHO MADE MY TRIP WORTHWHILE.

I have been coming to the old mill the last few years. Its like being at home for me .Mark and his team make me want to come again. Nothing is impossible. The food is fantastic. Breakfast, evening meal every wish is made. It's like a big family atmosphere here. I look forward everytime I come and always a warm welcome from Katie on the reception. If its checking in or checking out always a lovely smile on her face.
The best hotel to stay and eat in Coventry.
Nice room. Basic, but had everything we needed. Modern decor. Comfy bed, good shower etc. The location is perfect for Coventry town centre. A walk through the pedestrian underpass across the big roundabout and your in town. Parking in the hotels own carpark was only a fiver. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
Pleasant reception staff, but reception was often not attended. The hotel was very quiet. Large spacious room, and generally clean. Good en-suite with bathtub and shower over (my preference). Plenty of free parking. Breakfast was standard, with good fresh fruit available.
The staff were so polite so willing to help me was visiting my partner in Coventry who has had a stroke they made sure I felt safe every time I came back from the hospital
Very clean felt like home thankyou so much ramada hotel and staff
We were greeted and checked in by a very helpful and friendly young man who gave us useful information regarding the concert we were attending. The hotel was very clean and modern. The outdoor area was lovely. Good breakfast.
Our room was very clean with toilet separate from bath/shower great. Bedding clean, coffee/ tea maker fabulous. Spacious room. Coventry Cathedral at back of hotel, all attractions within easy walking distance.
Good location for the Coventry Arena. Lovely room, great to have separate toilet to bathroom not seen that before. Shower excellent and towels good quality too. Good value compared to other hotel chains.
Convenient for City Centre, cheap stay and free parking, also they allow dogs. Staff were generally helpful but I get the impression they are exasperated by the Clientele this hotel attracts.
We have given the hotel 5/10. The staff were amazing - friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough.
The food in the restaurant was also excellent! Good value and perfectly cooked.
Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Coventry. We used this as our base to visit the Cotswolds which was easy enough to do. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good size room.
The whole Thing is fucked up... Nothing good to write home about....
