Teruel once began a campaign ‘Teruel Exists’ because of its remote location and the fact it so often overlooked despite being an administrive capital for the southern Aragon region. I can categorically state that it does exist after spending an all too brief night there on a cycling tour.
It is a stunning city built on a hill with an incredible rich history. The Mudejar Towers are mind-blowing and the old steps and narrow alleys of the town are steeped in history. Teruel is famous for ham with many restaurants offering the finest cuts. Valencia is on the train line so that’s also a good combination and a stunning ride if you take that journey. I did it by bike !

The experience was tainted by the fact that we arrived the day after their 3 day festival ! As a result a lot of the restaurants were closed. The city itself has a lot of outstanding buildings but it really doesn’t have too much else to justify a stop of more than one day. Great tapas in La Barrica at lunch time.

Teruel is an old historical city, people lived there since the first age DC.
It has an old center of town that can be visited on foot without too much problems. The old city center is protected as a historical place and well kept, you can see that they do a lot of effort to maintain it in its original state. We visited the Provincial Museo, is worth to see how people lived there in the last 21 centuries.

Teruel is a pretty little town steeped in history. We only stayed one night as we were travelling but intend to come back.
The town has many restaurants and bars as well as a range of shops, it was at the centre of the Spanish Civil war so if you're interested in this type of thing there are many things to see.

I needed a night stop on journey from ferry to my home on Costa Blanca. I have visited Teruel before and it was a convenient place for a night stop.
It is a very interesting town, full of history, wonderful architecture, one of the best ethnographic museums, as well as churches. Lots of excellent restaurants and good hotels.
Good for skiing in the winter, if you do that - I don’t!!!

The hotel was on the edge of the centre.
The hotel was on the edge of the centre. The staff and hotel was fantastic, and having private parking was a bonus.
The town was easy to tour on foot and lots of bars and restaurants to visit.
Would recommend the hotel and Teruel
Nice grounds with mature trees. A lovely old building with sumptuous public areas. Pleasant terrace bar, where pots of tea as well as other drinks can be had. Parking close to the reception, overseen by cctv. Easy access to the motorway via the Teruel North junction, and not too far from the city. Quiet at night despite proximity to a main road. Room comfortable, well lit, with a spacious bathroom. Most staff friendly and helpful. Some accommodation of the needs of a gluten free diet.
The location is perfect. Just right in the center of the old town near all the landmarks and monuments. The facility to gain access by car and the parking garage of the hotel is very convenient for people travel by car. The room are spacious and are modern and tastefully designed, very high end finishing. The bed is very comfortable.the breakfast and dining options are also very good within the hotel. A perfect stay, highly recommend
My friend and I came to Teruel for a long weekend, and we were thrilled with the Clá! The workers were so sweet and actually took the time to talk to us on a more personal level and explained the city to us; the beds were extremely comfortable, the breakfast was a great value (even gluten free options!!); and it's only about a 6-7 minute walk from the Old Town/Casco Antiguo. It was also very clean, which we really appreciated.
The location in Teruel is great, 2 minutes walking from the Torico Square but easy to access by car or train. Also, we got the 6th floor suite, with direct views to the Mudejar Tower in the living room. It was well over our expectations and the kid was delighted!
Also the visit to the underground tunnels under the hotel were a treat, the kid loved it and the owner does a great job of explaining the history involved.
The location in centre of Teruel, the ambiance, the decor and staff were all excellent, especially the reception staff who were the best we have experienced on our travels around the world with their efficiency and the time to provide information to enhance our stay. It was an anniversary road trip from northern to southern Spain, and will definitely be returning in the future.
Very comfortable beds clean connected rooms perfect for our little family group. The staff in the reception and cafeteria were super friendly and lovely with the kids. The hotel games room was a bonus which both my kids loved. Likewise the dinospa! The location was perfect for our roadtrip adding no time at all. And just a quick drive into the old Teruel centre.
Friendly welcome, and directions given to free parking by the railway station. Family-run hotel with comfortable room and great breakfast. You can visit the secret tunnel under the hotel at certain times. Excellent location near the amazing Escalinata (there is a lift too). interesting church next-door has an unusual Mudejar interior.
Nestled in the heart of Teruel, the "Orillas del Turia" house on Booking.com turned out to be an unexpected gem that provided more than just accommodation. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted not only by the comfort of the space but also by the gracious hospitality of the host, Vicente.
Enjoyed our stay, The hotel was easy to find by car and has good parking. Our room was spacious, with comfortable beds and a spacious balcony with a lovely view. The location was excellent for visiting Teruel City Centre. We would certainly use this hotel again if we return to Teruel.
A really great place to stay in Teruel.Friendly, helpful staff..good location an easy walk to the centre.Secure parking.Great breakfast in house or you can pop out to Graniers nearby.
The bedrooms are very comfortable, clean, good en suite and quiet.
An exceptionally clean, quiet, warm room (in December) in a hotel located 15 minutes walk from the old centre of town. Very friendly, helpful staff and secure on site parking (albeit at a cost of 11 euros extra).
Mari Carmen was very kind, l had broken my wrist before coming to Spain, and she was helpful and kind in every way. Kudos !
The appointments and decor were great.
Excellent location nearby one of Teruel’s main gates. Modern or refurbished infrastructure. Free parking nearby.
Good continental breakfast for EUR 12 per person.
