The man at the front desk was very helpful and tried to solve every challenge that arose. It's a very central location, yet not loud if you have a room that looks towards the Innenhof. The room was clealry newly renovated and clean.

The city lost its German values. I have never seen such a dirty city, cigarette butts and trash everywhere. Not safe to walk in the centre during night. The Market square offer only kebab shops. I had my dinner at the Kurfürst Wirtshaus am Markt, one of the six German restaurant that offered traditional, good quality food. Next time I will avoid... this fallen city.

I came at the wrong time of year, cold and wet. None the less if you're dressed right there is a lot to see. Be adventurous and explore by getting a day ticket (public transportation) to take you all over Mannheim.

We went to see a lot of Christmas Markets and the Novum hotel is round the corner from the train station and we found it easy to travel to all our destinations , plus visiting interesting places in Mannheim , Our only problem was that we could not benefit from the Deuch travel ticker that cost €49 and you can travel all over Germany by trains , trams and buses , for a month , but it is only for Germans and not for the European countries as well , which I find unfair . We were happy with our Hotel but we had no Wifi in our room , we could only use their Wifi in the ground floor .

Surprising city.
Surprising city. Some very nice, historic areas, and excellent shopping malls and streets. Lots of good cafes and restaurants.
As with most cities, it is quite busy with traffic, and is noisy throughout the night with major roads running through and around it. Also, again like many places, some neighbourhoods can feel a little unsafe, with groups of people gathering and drinking on corners etc.
Worth noting that many cafes and small convenience stores only accept cash, or only take card payments above a certain amount. There are plenty of ATMs, but the ones not at a bank can charge very high fees to withdraw cash.
Whilst the city is easy to walk around and not huge, the tram is a brilliant way to get around. Day tickets are reasonably priced, and you can travel pretty far out to neighbouring towns and cities. They do get busy around morning and evening rush hours, and they can get very full.
Food and beverage prices get higher the closer you get to the tourist areas. The main tourist area is around the Water Tower. Some nice cafes around the gardens, but be prepared to pay more for things there.
There are some really excellent places to eat dotted around the city. Mainly small independent spots, and prices are generally very reasonable. Of these, I can highly recommend Caffe Sammo, Baguelette Café, Henriette Burger Bar, and JAMY'S Burger which are all places we ate. Some of the service can be a little slow, but I don't know whether that was because of the time/day we went, or whether there were shortages of staff. Nothing major, but not necessarily what everyone might expect.
Overall, Mannheim is a decent place. I wouldn't say it's a tourist heaven, and it is fairly mundane in many ways. We were there visiting our daughter at Mannheim University, but I probably wouldn't have the city very high on a list of German tourist destinations.

Very pleasantly surprised by the city.
Very pleasantly surprised by the city. Excellent shopping facilities with a number of malls and pedestrianised shopping streets. Some beautiful architecture in some of the older buildings.
Great transport links, with trams and buses, although it's possible to walk almost everywhere. Lively nightlife and it seemed that all the bars and restaurants had the nicest staff.
The Water Tower and the gardens around it are probably the visual highlight, but the university is a very impressive building, and there are a number of churches as well.

Was able to wander around town with food centres close by without having to walk to look. The tram service was reliable except for #4. at the moment of writing. Museums, parks, and other places of interest were within walking distance from each other
Overall the stay was very nice, it fulfilled all my requirements and I will totally repeat the experience for my next stay in Mannheim:
- The location was amazing! The apartment is located in the city center and very close to the University.
- The beds were extremely comfortable,
- The check in was very easy: the information was very precise and sent many hours before the arrival.
- The room was very luminous with a terrace: the feeling was very comfortable and not as if you were in a hotel room.
- The apartment was super clean!
The interior of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, well maintained with high ceilings and lots of space. The bed was great and the bathroom was huge, with a pretty good shower as well. Climate control kept the room nice and cool in summer. Breakfast wasn't very large, but everything you expected was there. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Mannheim city center and also very convenient for a city trip to Heidelberg.
The hotel has its own parking garage, which is located about two minutes away on foot.
This is not the first time I stay at a Leonardo hotel. I have had excellent previous experiences with Leonardo hotels. This Lenonardo hotel Mannheim City Centre was clean, smiling staff, helpful, even at 1 am. Room big and comfortable. Quiet. Could sleep well. There is a Swimming pool and Sauna on the fifth floor! Tee maker and tea bags, 1 water bottle, as welcome gift! Nice warm water in bathroom. Bathroom clean and comfy. Chic, nothing broken. The room price was GREEEAT
For 5 years this hotel was my home, unfortunately next week I stay there for the last time.
I would like to thank the whole team for their loyalty, professionalism and kindness.
I spent 5 years in Germany and I have never met such great team anywhere and such good food and drinks they serve.
Well done guys and thanks for everything!

The hotel is in a perfect location if you want to visit Mannheim centre or if you want, like we did, attend the Time Warp festival. Just a few stops by tram to the festival and a walk of 15/20mins to Mannheim centre.
The room and the bathroom were very clean and the bed was really comfy, plus the staff was kind and helpful :)
Located directly across the street form the Main Train Station in Mannheim. Unexpected eclectic look to hotel and very nicely done. Excellent breakfast (extra) and relatively large guest room with an equally large bathroom. Overall, a well done and well run Hotel
Nice hotel in good location. Rooms are comfortable with good desks to act as workstations. The gym facilities are the best (I've tried) in Mannheim hotels. Inside facing rooms are quieter, but on the side of the street wonderful views of sunrise and Wasserturm.
Cooking facilities were available for use. Cleaning was available when requested. The place is 8 blocks from the HBF Train station; a block away from Tram station. It is well located from University of Mannheim.
Super clean and comfortable room, quiet and well equipped. Great location close to the city center. Public transport stop right in front of the hotel, also 24/7 shop at the gas station. Overall amazing stay.
The best location and excellent staff. A superior advantage that Intercity Hotel offers a transportation ticket for period of your stay so you utilize it for transportation even between certain cities.
Location was good , there is nearby tram station, city center was also on a walking distance.
Supermarkets were also available on 3-5 min walk
Hotel offered free cancelation unitil the last day
The hotel was centrally located in Mannheim.
It's a family run hotel and all the family were very friendly.
I dined in the hotel on one evening and the food and service was also excellent.
One of the best hotels in dealing with customers
All employees are courteous and professional
The hotel is near to all places, be it shopping, train station or city centre
room was cleaned often and towels were always fresh.
