The newly renovated rooms are very nice and bright . The beds are very comfy and we loved the floor heating in the bathroom. Plus there is an amazing Asian restaurant just around the corner so we can only recommend it.

The best thing about Lörrach is that it is near the Fondation Beyeler and Basel but with less expensive lodging and restaurants.
The Greek restaurant next to our hotel was fantastic! We ate there twice but there were several other restaurants nearby.

nice and calm city close to Basel.
nice and calm city close to Basel. There are a lot of different restaurants: a good place to stay. There are also very good, rich and cheap malls.
It misses just a bit of personality: most of the historycal center has been completely renewed. I.e. a little town close to Lörrach , Schopfheim, has a very nice and special city center

In many places in the black forest you get a Konus or Schwarzwald card that allows you to travel on regional transport for free for the duration of your stay. The area you can travel is huge including most of the Black forest area. It's defininately worth asking about this. There is a lot to do in the area, a lovely place for families.

We flew to Basel, Switzerland, so we could visit Europa amusement park, but stayed in Lorrach in Germany and it was much better there for cost, and a nice neighbourhood and the direct bus to the Europa park

Surprisingly amazing little place with loads of nearby shops. We went to the design museum which was interesting and well worth a look if you’re into design, architecture etc. There is a ruined castle nearby with a beer garden and the train station is right across the road from the hotel. Heaps of little local eateries.

Lörrach was an ideal location for an overnight en route to Milan, however overpriced at the hotel we stayed at. The restaurant was closed on the evening we stayed and we ended up at a old faithful McDonald’s for easiness.
The facilities were almost like a 4 star hotel, they even have the disposable slippers! Staff was very friendly. Location was great. It had it's own car park with a charging facility. It was 10 min walk from the center, although climbing back might take a little longer. :)
We stayed here on our way to Italy and if we pass by again we will definitely stay here again. This hotel put the standards too high in the beginning of our holiday and none of the other places could catch the same level.
We stopped over at this hotel at the end of our holiday on the way home. We did not spend much time here, but the time we had here was great. The room was big and spacious, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We ate at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. The view from the hotel and restaurant is gorgeous. And the breakfast in the morning was also very good value for money. This is a hotel I would definitely recommend and if we are in the area again we will be back.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. As a young woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. It is located in a very cute square and is well connected to the train station that leads to Basel City. The room is well equipped with high quality shampoos, soaps, etc, as well as a hair dryer and complementary coffe, tea, and water. Room number 1 has a very nice view to the square, with the morning sun hitting the room. It is spacious, with good storage space.
Staff was nice to help me with late check-in. everything is straight forward and no-contact check-in. The hostel is located right in front of train station and in the middle of the Lörrach. The room was clean and they provided the clean sheet and towels on the free bed. With the key card that you open your room, you can have access to the locker. Very good experience.
The minute we walked into the hotel lobby our host, Felix, greeted us and made us feel welcome . The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast buffet was well worth the price as there were many items to choose from as well as coffee made to your specifications. The room was modern, clean, and luxurious. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Villa Elben Lorrach bei Basel.
I do t recomend this Hostal .not a hotel
They do not have parking they charge you 10 euros more . The room is not clean. And there is no staff at the hostal the room is very small . Plus you can not sleep as this Hostal is very close to the train station so every 10 min pass a train close and the noise is just insupportable. Definitely bad experience 😞
The room we stayed in was modern, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfasts were superb. The hosts were very attentive to our needs. We also received a free pass for local transportation, and it’s just a short stroll to the train station. By the way, if you are allergic to down products (comforter, pillows), let the hotel know before your arrival!
The staff were very friendly and welcomed us kindly already in the email. The breakfast was tasty, had variety and was a very value. Even though it is in the very center of Lörrach, we heard no noise whatsoever. This was our second stay and will be our go-to place when we return. A big thank you.
Lovely affordable place outside of Lörrach close to the station to town. An old building that the owners are lovingly restoring. Bianca and her husband were very friendly and great company as I was travelling solo. The bed was the most comfy of my whole 2 week trip! Great food too.
Ideal for shorter stays when one is travelling alone. Relatively close to the S-Bahn station Lörrach Haagen/Messe that runs quite regularly, except on Sundays. The room was super clean and confortable for one person. Very quite neighbourhood, close to the Rötteln Castle.
We actually didn't stay at this hotel as they were overbooked and they arranged a different nearby hotel for us. This was communicated via email and phone upfront on the day of arrival. They made sure that the alternative hotel charged the same price.
We especially liked the air conditioning and the surprising quietness of the location in the centre of Lörrach. The room had a decent size and was very clean with nice shower and bathroom. Excellent location for shopping and eating out.
Right next to town centre, good car park beneath the hotel. Easy 30min walk over the border to visit the Beleyer Foundation (that's what we came for)! Room spacious clean and comfortable, good functioning bathroom, thanks.
A wonderful, slightly quirky hotel that is in the most wonderful position.
Clean room, with really good shower. Staff very friendly and obliging. Definitely staying there when next we visit Lörrach
