The staff were excellent had a good chat with me when I was leaving. I don’t think they quite understood why I would go to their little town for a cycle race.
It is a 10 minute walk to the city centre and I could even watch the local football team from my window.
There was no problem with them keeping my luggage for 3 hours while I waited for my transfer to take me to Vienna.
There was an old London bus parked outside hit some reason and my bus-mad son loved seeing the pictures.

Breakfast was not included in the booking but some provisions were provided, including coffee, juice, snacks and cereal.
A great experience in a small town. Very quiet, relaxing, and refreshing. Excellent breakfast and some great restaurant choices in town. Well worth the drive from Vienna. If you are a wine aficionado, this location must be on your bucket list. High-quality art work and personal touches in every room personally by the owner (forgot to say, she is awesome and the best host I've seen).

Rust is small but very nice historical town with churches, historical houses and town walls.
On Hauptstrasse and close to Fischerkirche you can find nice wine bars as the town is wellknown for its wines.
Also you can find good typical restaurants near Alten Stadttor (Seezeile).
The town is good starting point to discover this part of Neusiedlersee region. Preferable by bike but you can also walk or by bus (free for Neusiedlersee card holders). In hot summer you can go to the lake (2,0 km from city center) to enjoy the watter activities on the lake or swipping pools.
You can visit Mörbisch with local museum, wineries and lake beach. Going by bike is the best way.

Rust is the cosy and beautiful small resort town, very accurate and well-treated by citizens. the place where you feel and sense the best of Austrian tradition, culture and attitude. Also very friendly and international, as most of people speak English, Hungarian, Slovak languages and treat the conversation with respect.
Rust combines luxury boar travels with very affordable town-, lake-and surrounding trips. Dining and cafes, bistrot and places the Locals visit are also represente with variety for each taste, budget and preference. Very relaxed and loveable town.

Very nice place with good wine and a beautiful old town. Time runs slowly there.
Unfortunately I'm not impressed with the restaurants in Rust.
I didn't visit everyone obviously, just a few on the old town, but the food was average.

Everything was perfect.
We cooked for ourselves. But Rust is just 15 min away on foot. There you have a large selection of restaurants, Inn,... We often used the electric boat. It was great.
There is a seaside resort and not far away the family park.
You can do surf lessons or sailing courses. Also you can rent pedal boats.
And of course you can just relax and enjoy your holiday.
Excellent location, family ambient, very clean rooms. The hotel has few own parking spots but the parking around the hotel on the streets is posible free of charge.
The staff was very friendly and hepful from the arrival to the check-out. We left the hotel feeling like we were visiting family. ❤️
The breakfast selection was very good, tasty and served to the table in the cosy ambient of the rose garden. The food choice was very diversified, with fresh vegetables and fruits and in the right amount.
The room was nice and clean. The breakfast had good variety (even for vegetarians) and was delicious. When we stayed at this hotel there was ample parking, which is a must given how far Rust is from Vienna/the airport. We liked that the hotel was close to the FamilyPark amusement park (5-10 minutes drive).
The hotel and the small town (Rust) are nice and quiet, perfect for a relaxing holiday (which is exactly what we were looking for).
We rented two apartments with double beds - one of them was quite big, with bathroom, kitchen/dining room. The second one was just a sleeping room with bathroom. We were nicely suprised with the size of the first one. The staff was really nice and helpful. We cycled to Rust,so we were really happy that there were bike stands in the building. Hotel is really clean and nice. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
The garden outside with a seating area is great, especially in combination with the possibility to buy wine/beer/softdrinks at the place. Breakfast is great and the owner very friendly. Best room: right next door to the garden (:
Good place to store your bikes too, and I think you can also charge ebikes in a 'shed'.
I have been to Rust in similiar huts several times in the last couple of years, but this was the most perfectly renovated.
I loved the motor boat. It is very hard to maneuver out from the reeds, but it's worth. The sunset in the middle of the lake with the boat is gorgeous.
The location is the essence of the apartment.
You may enjoy perfect solitude half way between Rust and the Neusidler See.
We recommend to take a bike, or (better) scooters to ride into the village for an evening stroll and glas of wine.
The kitchen is well equipped.
Very friendly people, discreet. The hole place was very calm, a good site for relaxation.
Breakfast was tasty, more than enough ( and I am a good eater).
The hotel is like a fairy place. Very clean.
The welcome drink was a nice gesture and is was delicious.
Decent room with 3 single beds (2 joined together and the third one separate). Fairly quiet location (perhaps because we visited this establishment off season). Great variety for breakfast. Ample parking. Beautiful lake promenade nearby.
The property provides 11 very styilish and cozy rooms. Tina manages the property on a very personal and professional level. Everything in this boutique hotel fits together and makes the difference to "standard" hotels.
directly at main square of Rust in a very traditional house, restaurant included.
breakfast offers good quality and wide range of products. charme of having a cup of coffee in the sun (when weather permits)
Very clean and confortable apartment, located in a quiet area near the wine yards. Good facilities (kitchenette and large bathroom), confortable bed and nice view from the balcony.
The ambiance at arriving was amazing - the possibility to have a glass of wine at arrival any time is perfect. Pre chilled room an arrival very pleasant surprise.....
