We enjoyed the warm hospitality of our hosts, Hanna and Hakan, who welcomed us to their home, shared their food, showed us around the farm and made us feel at home!. It was a very special experience for all of us, we had never experienced something similar on our travels before. We picked organic greens for salad together, participated in milking the goats, searching for eggs, processing Cacao and Cafe grown on the farm, enjoyed making our own pizza in their clay oven, and baking the most delicious brownies from their cacao (and recipe!). The farm is beautiful and relaxed, the casita has comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and spacious outdoor dining area with hammocks to relax in. Breakfasts where homemade, yummy and varied, and on top of all of these, hauler monkeys visited nearby every morning!

The property is an off-grid Eco-lodge in the middle of the tropical forest and functions using renewable energy. They're selling local pottery, which I was looking for & I'm absolutely loving it!!

Maderas Volcano is 6.3 km from the lodge. everything! it was a beautiful space, the bed was comfy, the staff were kind, the breakfast (at additional cost of a reasonable $5) was awesome, it was a great location, the “in nature” feel was perfect and the VIEW!! amazing

A breakfast is served each morning at the property. At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving Local cuisine. it was very clean and peaceful. Super friendly and helpful staff. Sweet and polite dogs, they just come up to, if you want them to.

Free WiFi is available. The property is located in the tropically forested UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Great location in the middle of wilderness. You've got your own hur away from other huts. Do a little hike to get to the main hut where the breakfast is served. (Really nice breakfast)

Location was amazing, when we first got there we got smoothies as a welcome gift, which was a really nice touch.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. I really loved my stay at Finca Magdalena. It is so peaceful and quiet there. The rooms are spacious and the view from the balcony just amazing. There are lovely hiking trails in the woods. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back.
