Our stay at Casa Nativo was the highlight of our Colombia trip. Not only the stunning architecture and surroundings (we never saw so many different exotic birds as we did here) but mainly the lovely and caring personalities of Daniela, her mother Ana and Diana. It's a bit like spending time with family. In our entire trip, the beautiful terrace overlooking the jungle is where we found the most peace and felt closest to nature. We also visited the coffee finca of the parents of Diana up the hill. We would come back to Colombia only to stay at this magical place!

The welcoming staff who went above and beyond to provide a wonderful stay, the pool and all the sitting areas around the pool, a roomy shower, and the food were all top notch. The location is not in a town so it is surrounded by nature and lovely views.

Wat een enorm fijne plek! Prachtig uitzicht over la Piedra en het meer. Het personeel is onzettend gastvrij, ze doen er alles aan om het hun gasten naar de zin te maken. We mochten eerder inchecken en later uitchecken en er was altijd iemand bereikbaar via whatsapp. De kamer was comfortabel en schoon en er lag ontbijt klaar om zelf klaar te maken op de kamer. We hebben genoten van de Jacuzzi, kayaks en het zwemmen in het meer.

Cabañas La Silleta is gelegen in Santa Elena in de regio Antioquia, op 28 km van park El Poblado en biedt gratis WiFi, een speeltuin, een tuin en gratis privéparkeren. Nice simple quiet cabins, in the middle of well kept wooded grounds. Furnishings are basic. Close to Santa Elena restaurants and a half hour walk to cerro verde, a beautiful hilltop hotel complex. Great bakery just 3 mins walk outside. Dog friendly. No music at night. Good for people who want to be left alone.

We had a wonderful stay at Finca Cabanas y Flores. The owners, Mario and Dione, are wonderful warm hosts. And Sergio is always there to take care of you! We loved the location of the Finca. It’s a short 15 minute walk into town, but seems like a world away from your cabin in the hills overlooking Jerico. After dinner in Jerico in the evening you can walk back (it’s very uphill!), or just catch a Tuk Tuk for 5,000 COP, about $1.25 USD. The views are stunning, especially from the breakfast patio, which is delicious and plentiful! The cabins themselves are lovely and comfortable. The bed was great, shower was hot, and it’s extremely quiet at all times as the location is far enough from the road. If you need wifi, the public areas have great coverage, but the 3G cell coverage is great so you can also use Wifi in your cabin using the iPhone hotspot. If you really need wifi in your cabin you get get great coverage for 10,000 COP per day, or $4 USD. You can’t go wrong staying at Cabanas y Flores!

Hospedaje Santaelena -chalets de montaña- biedt accommodatie in bungalow-stijl in het hart van Santa Elena, Medellin. De accommodatie wordt omgeven door de natuur. This entire place is lovely. The gentleman running the location was exceedingly accomodating, and the property is fantastic.

Ecoverso Cabañas del bosque is gelegen in Medellín met uitzicht op de stad en heeft een restaurant, roomservice, snackbar, tuin en terras. The cabin is very cute and well-equipped, the surrounding scenery is stunning, and the host couldn't be more helpful. This was the perfect way to start our Colombian adventure, perched on the edge of a mountain with views over Medellin to one side, and views of the countryside to the other. At the end of our stay we took the metro cable from Parque Arví down into the city...which provides another must-see perspective over Medellin. Overall...highly recommend to anyone looking for a little bit of nature, serenity and seclusion within reach of Medellin.
