The property is beautiful! It's a big home with a shared dining room and living room. The rooms are huge with individual balconies and modern bathrooms. Views are incredible and the location is very peaceful. The pool was nice and it felt good to relax after a long month of travel. The host, Kalani, was wonderful and helped out with a special request.

I appreciate the great hospitality and support of Ms Sonali from the begining till the end. As I was travelling alone, it was a bit of skepticle to stay by myself. But once I arrived , she was able to ensure my decision to stay at witherspoon was the best. The host help me to find a tuk tuk and did everything to make my stay comfortable and pleasent. I love the place as it was the same as in tge description and nothing hidden. It was surrounded by nature and you can wake up with birds' chirping in the morning.

Great location right outside the lake- perfect start for a 10-15 mins stroll to various spots. Breakfast was amazing and very filling so much that we skipped lunch most days. Staff were very attentive and treated us like family. Front desk especially was very efficient in helping us with transport and daily visits. The lawn outside is great for a nice afternoon tea or to just watch the streets of Kandy. Few facilities but the billiards room was a hit with the kids.

You will see the mountains, you will hear the birds when you wake up. The hotel provided an extra bad for our daughter - nice. The ambience and welcome were in colonial tradition. We had the 7 course dinner which was good after a relaxing day at the pool. Women in traditional dresses were collecting tea leaves from a small tea plantation in front of our chalet.

The hotel is up the hill from central Kandy, away from the hustle and bustle so it's more quiet. If you don't mind the hill, it's possible to walk to and from Kandy by foot. We opted to take a tuktuk back up to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. You can not find this kind of accomodation for this price. Our host was really kind, and helpful, he pick us up in the train station when we arrive for free, and offering some really good tee for us. We felt we just arrive to home. The location also good, so quiet, sometimes we seen monkeys from our window, but you can find some bars and resaturants after 10-15 minutes of walk. I think this place is unique in Kandy.
