Melo Pomelo was an incredible place to stay for us while in Kathmandu. It was central yet so peaceful as it was located in an alleyway. The decor and vibe was so warm, inviting and cosy, and the courtyard was a great place to get some nature and sun. The hosts Amir and Ragini were so attentive, helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed and we appreciate it so much. Please stay here if you go to Kathmandu!

Between Pottery Square and Durbar Square Rupakot is ideally located to be at the heart of this historic and vibrant city. The staff were very helpful and rooms were clean, quiet and spacious. The food is very tasty and a good price.

I had an amazing stay with Raj and his family. From the moment I set foot into their loving home, I was treated like one of their own. I had the privilege of joining them for their Mother’s Day party and I thoroughly enjoyed the Tamang culture, history and food. Thank you so much for everything :)

Located in Nagarkot, 10 km from Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Jungle Crown Organic Homestay provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. This place is really the nicest surprise to discover! Very nice treehouses and cabins. A great area outside for socializing and very tasty food! The owners are ultimately helpful and friendly. Surely recommended if you are searching for a place close to Kathmandu (45 min by car)where you are in middle of nature. Walking distance to suspension bridge Nagarkot, waterfall, 2km long (very high!!!) Superman Zipline Nagarkot. Beautiful walking area.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Gurung's Home is situated in Kathmandu, 2.1 km from Swayambhu and 2.6 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The location is nice, in a friendly neighborhood, so it's very quiet and chill, but at the same time, it is very close to all the places you will want to visit. Everyone who works there is incredibly nice, helpful, and hospitable. The manager, Santosh, is very knowledgeable and willing to help with absolutely all the questions and requests we had. Situated just 2.7 km from Pashupatinath, Swagat homestay offers accommodation in Kathmandu with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as room service. Swagat Homestay lies quietly, away from main street in a non-tourist area of Kathmandu, so that you have the real life of Nepalese people around you. It lies much nearer the airport than the tourist area of Thamel. The owner gives many efforts to make you a good stay, is really interested in the guests ang gives good information. The clean room where I stayed has become still better, because it has recently got his own bathroom. The breakfast that one takes on the roof is good. One has a nice view from there, one can also see the Himalaya mountains if the view is clear. The owner is preparing (probably now finished) the possibility for the guests to sit, relax and drink in the garden. Obviously he likes to give his best to make all things better and better for the guests.

Set in Nagarkot, within 16 km of Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 25 km of Boudhanath Stupa, Nagarkot Trekkers Inn offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for... I enjoyed the days with Kishor and his wife so much. They are so friendly, warm, kind and caring. One Day I felt sick and Kishor was so worried. He brought me food and everything that I needed. He took really care of me. It felt like home. He helps you with everything. With the transfer, to organize a hike, to organize food. The food in the homestay is also very good. And everything is fresh from their own garden. He has great varieties in the dinner and is very flexible for whatever you want. In the early morning he wakes you up to see the sunrise (when it is not cloudy). You can the the sunrise from the window of your room. But there are also beautiful views from the garden and the rooftop. The surrounding ist very calm and peacful. You always get a smile from the neighbours. If you want to have some quiet days after some busy days this homestay is perfect. They also have a warm shower and toilet paper. It is getting cold in the night. But the blankets protect you und keep you warm. So, I highly recommend this homestay. I would come back next time in nepal. PS: I have to mention that the last part to come to the homestay is an off road part. I came by car and he has to drive carefully.
