Lovely setting in a beautiful homestay environment. It was very peaceful sitting in their beautiful garden, and the orchestra of frogs in the evening was a delight. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. Dimu and his wife were so genuine and lovely, and the curries were delicious. Dimu organised a safari tour with Sumudu as our guide. Sumudu's knowledge and respect for the animals was very much appreciated. We saw many wild elephants, Sambur deer (very rare), deer, wild boar, golden jackals, Buffalo, crocodiles, peacocks, monitor lizards, mongoose and many beautiful birds. One of the highlights of our trip! Thanks for an amazing stay, Dimu!

Great place to organize safari. Staff were helpful in finding a good place to eat - common rose- and with information concerning my onward travels. Enjoyed the safari organized by them.

Located 17 km from Udawalawe National Park, Wild Eagle Safari Resort offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as an indoor pool and a garden. We’ve been travelling in Sri Lanka for a month and this has been our absolute favourite accommodation! The young couple who own it go above and beyond, they are so kind and thoughtful - from welcome drinks on arrival to dropping us off at restaurants and refusing to accept any money for the journey. The room is lovely, clean, has strong WiFi and AC and a super handy minbar with great snacks. The breakfast is so nice, lots of fresh fruit and traditional Sri Lankan options. Would definitely recommend eating in their restaurant for lunch or dinner too. We ate out at different restaurants a few times in the town and the food was no where near as good.

Located in Udawalawe, 10 km from Udawalawe National Park, Forest Edge Safari Villa provides air-conditioned rooms and a garden. The safari with Suresh was excellent and good value for a four hour trip. Janith was the perfect host, communicative without being pushy and very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was also very delicious.

Located 12 km from Udawalawe National Park, Mango Tree House provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. A continental breakfast is available daily at the guesthouse. The Owners are lovely and really helpful, the Safari was awesome, the rooms clean and nice and the food for Dinner and Breakfast was amazing. Can recommend 10/10, felt Like a place to stay!

Set in Udawalawe, 16 km from Udawalawe National Park, Hasthi Safari Cottage features accommodation with a hot tub, spa facilities and wellness packages. Nice cottage house on a quiet street. The host was very nice, we bought a safari tour through him and a taxi to our next location. Also, we ate at his restaurant and it was good authentic food. Our room had AC and bathtub + outdoor shower.

Set within 8 km of Udawalawe National Park, The Elephant Next-Door in Udawalawe features a number of amenities including a garden. Room was very nice, everything was beautiful, Janaka is very caring and thoughtful. We also at diner there, the curry was excellent and very good value for money.

Very kind family. Nice view of elephants from balcony. Access to shop for snacks. Delicious food. All around terrific! Recommend to do their safari tour.

The Countryside Udawalawe is located in Udawalawe and features a pool with a view and garden views. It was one of the best stays during our Sri Lanka trip - the property is beautiful, well maintained and very comfortable. We loved the pool area and the fact that we felt surrounded by the nature. Also the rooms were very spacious and tastefully designed. The hotel manager was beyond helpful and personally organized the fixing of my phone screen when it got broken. He also organized a very nice morning safari and a great massage for us for a reasonable price. We loved every minute of our stay at The Countryside Udawalawe and would have wished to spend there more time!
