What I enjoyed the most was Saro’s hospitality and the location (10-15 min from Battambang, in the nature). My bungalow was rudimentary inside (just a mattress on the floor, with some nice decoration and a well-needed fan though) and a desk to keep my thinks but, sincerely, I did not miss anything and I think that this is what made the charm of the place). I also had a private terrasse, which was more furnished (with 2 fans and a nice view), on which I would rest and chill. I also appreciated the possibility of taking the bike for free. Saro’s family was very nice too.

My grown-up son and I spent five unforgettable days with Phirum’s family. The family completely included us in their life and we became friends in this short time. They offer way more than any guesthouse would. The sweet Khmer bananas from their garden, the delicious homemade meals, the walks in the countryside - it all adds up to an unforgettable experience. I can still hear the hum of cicadas in the evening as I write this review. The rooms were as described, nothing flashy, but super clean and comfortable. Aircon in my son’s room was excellent and the fans in the bamboo hut made it nice and cool. Most importantly, in their home you will see how ordinary people live their lives, and the family give a great example of hospitality and resourcefulness. At first I was unsure about how we’d deal with the distance from city centre, but that was absolutely no problem. It’s only 15 mins away by tuktuk, and Phirum helped to negotiate local rate with the driver ($3). Also we spent a lot of time exploring the neighbourhood. A beautiful 30-minute walk takes you to the local Buddhist monastery and a smart restaurant with a lovely view, especially at sunset. I hope that you will come and stay with Phirum to discover real Cambodia for yourself.

The hosts are warm and welcoming, that made the whole difference. Thank you guys! We rented bikes and explored the area which was very nice. The place is as portrayed on the website, very simple but has everything you need on a basic level.

Offering a terrace and views of the mountain, Battambang Dream Bungalows is located in Battambang in the Battambang Province Region, 8 km from Boeung Chhouk Market. Outside of town, quiet and peaceful. The family built a little jungle with beautiful bungalows in their garden. The shower is very basic:water + trowel-you don't need more :) The food was amazing. The host is also a tour guide for a lot of years and we did a full-day tour with him, also to non-touristic places. The family was always around (had dinner next to us) and helped us with all questions. The family also supports the local community, they built up a school for kids to teach them English (as they don't learn it in public school), so staying there, also supports them in doing this important job.

Amazing stay, the owners are really making sure you have everything you need. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Good AC and fast internet. I strongly recommend going for activities with their associated tuktuk driver Mr Nikki, he was an excellent guide, very king and knowledgeable.
