I had booked this place because we were going to do an activity in the area, it was canceled on that day but I kept this booking even though it can be a little difficult to get to (I would recommend taking a taxi from the train station, bus service is highly irregular).It seemed like it would be a good experience (staying at a Traditional Japanese house in the country). I was right. Kenji is an excellent and helpful host. Our room was one of the most beautiful we stayed in, lots of detail: carvings , kami dana, beams etc. The beds=futons were warm and comfortable. It was quiet and you could see stars at night. You are near the river and can see/ cross one of the famous bridges. This is rural Japan and I loved it.

Beautiful, spacious house with everything you might need for a relaxing stay near the Shimanto river. Location was good compared to others in the region, relatively close to the train station and tourist office. I received a nice, cool welcome drink and the owner was super friendly - he offered me a ride to the train station so I didn't have to walk. Outdoor seating area was nice too.

My party had mechanical failure with one of our bikes when we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and Ono-san went completely above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get where we wanted to go. The rooms were also very clean and nice. Thank you so much for your help and for a wonderful stay!

Wifi brilliant, parking on-site, shower awesome, fridge great, bedding awesome, TV great and room was huge !! Air con worked awesome, 💪, and I would go back again easily ! ( And I'm eating more vegetables now 😀)...

Berjarak 12 menit berjalan kaki atau 3 menit naik bus dari pintu keluar utara Stasiun JR Kochi, Katsuo Guest House menawarkan kamar-kamar asrama bergaya Jepang dengan AC. The guest house is very comfortable and welcoming! It is located near bus station and around 10mins walk to Kochi train station, so it is very convenient. The common area and rooms are maintained well (very new) and very clean. Most importantly, the staffs and owners are very friendly and kind! I had enjoyed my four nights stay here a lot and meet many great people! :) Highly recommend to travellers who visit Kochi!

Just beside the Aso Submersible Bridge. The quality of the house is so excellent that it is too underrated and the photos don’t do justice. The actual house seems to be so better and witty visiting.
