Set in Villavieja in the Huila region, Hostal Arámbulo features a patio and inner courtyard views. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The host made us feeling like home. She is extremely welcoming, prepares amazing breakfast, coffee and house-made lemonade in-between. I can definitely recommend the offered tour to the Tatacoa desert. They also organized a collectivo back to neiva for us.

It was really cool to be out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. The hotel is very rustic and located on a functioning ranch with cows and horses and everything. It is also walking distance from the two grey desert hiking trails. The owner was really friendly and fun to chat with as well as helpful with anything we needed. The food was also some of the best hotel food we’ve had.

Biohotel tatacoa Qji is set in Villavieja and has a pool with a view and garden views. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. An oasis in the middle of Tatacoa that makes you feel like you’re the only people in the world. Beautiful location, great pool, freshly made food, welcoming staff (Alejandro went above and beyond, helping us with transport and activities). The rooms were clean and comfortable. A special place.

Situated in Villavieja in the Huila region, Hostel Tatacoa has a garden. This homestay provides free private parking and a housekeeping service. Like all the other reviews have already mentioned, Sandra is amazing. She was super helpful storing my luggage twice while I was there. Anything she could help with she did. Her breakfast is amazing and made with fresh local bread and produce (she invited me to join her buying the ingredients for breakfast around town), she set up a van to pick me up from the hostel and drive me back to Neiva, and she took her time to sit down and chat with me over coffee even though my Spanish is horrible! The hostel is literally two blocks from the town center and from there you can catch a tuk tuk to the dessert. All the beds are full size with multiple pillows. She is also friends with the local guides if you'd prefer to do a tour!

A recently renovated guest house, LUNA del DESIERTO TATACOA offers accommodation in Villavieja. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The owners of the hostal are very kind and friendly. They prepared breakfast for us at 5:30 o'clock just because we wanted to leave at 6:00 in the desert. It was very clean in the rooms and in the bathrooms.

Located just a 10 minutes walk outside of Villavieja, this beautiful cabin works great as a starting point for exploring the area. It has a great bed, amazing bathroom, a kitchen, a TV, air conditioning, and a laundry machine. There is a good, local restaurant almost next door where you can eat, or you can go into town.

I loved the cottage, and the whole feel of it. It felt like we were secluded, so that was really nice.

Offering an outdoor portable pool and views of the garden, Dunas Tatacoa is located in Villavieja. Neiva is 34 km away. Free private parking is available on site. Our stay was absolutely amazing (special thanks to Hilda and the entire staff for being simply amazing). We booked a 3 people tent which not only had a fan but an air conditioner as well. The property was clean with bathrooms situated in various convenient locations. The property also has a nice pool (where we spent our afternoons and evenings). The property is situated 10 min walking from the town of Villavieja (good location). The staff was simply amazing: accommodating, hard-working, always smiling and always made us feel welcomed and at home. We will keep them in our hearts 🤍
