The location is a little bit far away from the public transportation, specially when you have heavy luggage. I didn’t contact with the staff very much, but the people in the whole town are very friendly.

The apartment was just delightful and a pleasant surprise. It was spacious and had just about everything except a tea kettle to boil water and a teapot. Otherwise we had difficulty finding the property at first but when we found it if was so very comfortable and quite good location for the road to Zermatt. Great to have a large Coop store close by.

Situated in Conthey and only 12 km from Sion, Haut de Cry features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Super nice hosts, very new furniture, very clean and a nice view from the terrace. We slept for one night (group of 3), we liked it very much. We could park our motorbikes in the garage. :) Thank you very much for this nice accommodation!

Chalet Antoine serviced Apartments by Mirabeau features accommodation situated in Zermatt, 400 metres from Zermatt Railway Station and 200 metres from Matterhorn Golf club. Found this beautiful 2 bedroom apartment last minute and really enjoyed it. The beds and pillows are super comfy, feels luxurious. The sofa in the living room was converted into a bed and there is a blackout curtain that transforms the living room into a 3rd bedroom. Every room comes with a flat screen TV. There is only one bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. There is another toilet with just a sink as well. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare a full size family dinner, stove, oven, pots, pans, cutlery etc. There’s also a coffee machine which I didn’t get to try. Coffee and tea bags are provided as well. Another great service was the self-service luggage storage room to securely store you belonging since we arrived early. We also took the taxi (CHF10) to the train station instead of walking, which you can also do for just 2 minutes. I wished I had stayed longer. Definitely will come back here next time I come back to Zermatt.

Located in Saas-Almagell in the Canton of Valais region and Allalin Glacier reachable within 8.4 km, Pension Waldegg - restaurant provides accommodation with free WiFi, a children's playground,... Corina is very friendly and we had a perfect stay at Waldegg. Breakfast was simple and good. We had a 3 course dinner and it was great.

Boasting a bar, Chez Stéphane et Maria offers accommodation in Chamoson, 39 km from Crans-sur-Sierre and 20 km from Mont Fort. It is situated 17 km from Sion and features a minimarket. We did not intend to visit the area but just sleep, but it's a very charming town. The room was perfect.

We were delighted with our brief stay at La Tzvanne, our mini-chalet was a great, our host, Sonia, could not have been more helpful, the breakfasts were delicious. what more can I say? Our own organisation meant that we could not make use of the sauna. A little corner of tranquility in the alps.
