The family attending the hostel is really kind and welcoming, and also helping a lot if you got troubles like buses cancelled or what... ;) the hostel in itself is nice, hot water, good beds, and a beautiful terrace to get breakfast and some rest between two hikes. I stayed here before and after my treks and it felt like home! Fireplace in the common area is amazing which you can sit and chill in front of every evening! Beautiful balcony to watch the sunset. Amazing breakfast. Comfy beds. Hot water all the time!! Beautifully decor and lovely hosts. And it is quiet!

Ana and her family were the kindest and most helpful hosts. They allowed us to store our bags when we went trekking, allowed us to have a parcel delivered and allowed us to stay in the accommodation for the day to wait for our night bus. They were also able to give us advice on trekking and tours. The accommodation is really lovely- it is exceptionally clean and the beds are warm and comfortable. There is free tea and coffee available all day, the breakfast is filling and nice and there is a lovely terrace to sit out on as well as some indoor spacing. The B&B is in a residential area with lots of amazing restaurants with exceptionally cheap menu del dias, and is only a 15 minute walk into the main part of the city. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa de Ana and found it to be very comfortable.

In short, 5 booked days turned into two weeks. We immediately felt at home and incredibly comfortable. For us it was a little paradise. The river that borders the house is perfect for swimming or fishing. From the outdoor kitchen you had a really beautiful view of the mountains, the river and the sunrise. It is a beautiful, quiet place with chickens, cats and sheep that belong to Walter's mother. She lives on the property and supplied us with little things to eat and drink from her little shop. When we were there, there were two baby cats that we really loved. It is super easy, quick and cheap to get to Huaraz town with the collectivo bus. From the property you can walk several small treks, such as to viewpoints and to a waterfall. We were lucky that Walter accompanied us on an adventurous hike to the waterfall. We already miss it and can highly recommend this beautiful spot in nature to everyone. It really exceeded our expectations. Thanks again to Walter and his mother.
