We arrived late due to unforeseen roadworks, so messaged ahead to let Ellie and Shane know, so they made arrangements for easy late access, and we walked into such a welcoming and special guest home. The views are spectacular - we saw the cows taking themselves down the farm track across the field, hens in the lower garden and Quail running across the beautifully manicured lawn. The location is peaceful and picture perfect. The guest house itself is fresh, warm and inviting, with everything you need to fully relax and enjoy your stay.

It was a very pleasant staying in Taiparoro House in Tauranga. You cannot imagine a better place to stay there! The room was very nice and cozy, The house itself is a living history - it was built in 19th century and you can still feel that it's old and unique. The hosts - Penny and Ian are very nice and helpful people. They serve continental breakfast and it's most delicious breakfast I had - including croissants, vegetables, fruits, toasts, good quality muesli and many more! I strongly recommend you to stay in this place!

Host was absolutely amazing. Very homely feel to the accom - the little touches were very much appreciated ie nice shampoo and conditioner in the shower, food/water was replenished and dirty dishes taken away while I was out, bed was super comfy, TV was easy to navigate because the host had made a guide for guests. This has been our favourite overnight stay during our trip to the north island. Excellent accommodation, lovely hosts with lots of great information about the area and gave us tips on where to go once we left. Highly recommend this property. After staying in motels most of this trip my husband who is quite tall appreciated the shower, best shower he's had in 2 weeks 😄. Great location as well.
