Lovely farm and family, comfortable room and communal spaces. Easily accessible by public transit from Kathmandu and good hiking once you’ve arrived. A wonderful place to stay and learn about agriculture, meet other travelers, and eat Nepali meals.

Originally i had only planned to stay for three nights at the Farmhouse of the Tiwari family. But after I arrived at this idyllic place and got to know Bishnu, Kalpana, Bibek and Binayak, I knew that I will stay longer. In the end I stayed over a week and it was such a lovely, relaxing and interesting time. The house is located in a beautiful village, surrounded by terrace fields and abundant with different bird species. I was welcomed as a part of the family and experienced local life and culture. Every day I was treated with local dishes, made mostly with homegrown ingredients, and all of them were delicious! Bishnu showed me around the farm on a two hour tour, took me to the local milk collection center, the village rice mill, to springs around the village, milking their cows and to see some honeybees. I celebrated Shivaratri at the local Shiva temple with the family and experienced the celebration of their ancestors. When i wanted to relax i enjoyed my time in the beautiful yard, on the rooftop with perfect views of the Himalayas or strolling around the village, talking to locals. One can walk in 1,5 hours to Namobuddha monastery, go to Dhulikel or visit a waterfall nearby. If you want to relax, eat well, experience nepali culture, talk to locals or just be in a beautiful surrounding - this place is for you! I am very thankful for the hospitality of this family and i‘m sure that the memory of this place will stay with me for a long time. Thank you!

10 ++++ / A++++ stay. Great owner and wife. He was friendly, helpful, and spoke very good English. Great room with views. Quiet location with a wonderful balcony. Great WiFi connection. Great co-owner (wife) who cooks great. Great dinner and breakfast. Loved the location, in the middle of nowhere, but it was the real Nepal, a tiny village, I loved it. Large comfortable room. They brought local beer to my room upon request. The water was decent but could have been a little hotter. Great rooftop views as well. Nice view of the mountain range. Daniel USA

La posizione leggermente staccata dal paesino ma raggiungibile in 100mt e gode di un ottima vista sulle montagne, città e campi di grano. La famiglia è a tua completa disposizione, ottima la colazione e soprattutto la cena, con i loro prodotti coltivati. Ci tornerò per sempre! Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti

Si tratta di una associazione che organizza il soggiorno da famiglie locali. Questo permette alle donne di guadagnare e aver un lavoro. La mia permanenza a Panauti è stata incredibile, la famiglia è stata molto ospitale e il cibo da loro preparato buonissimo. Ho potuto inoltre visitare la città con loro.
