I found a piece of happiness here..the property and the beach front were perfect, secluded beach all to yourself…and maybe the random horse. Very beautiful and relaxing place to stay… also the room service food was a complete bonus…fresh everything!! Can’t bet fresh coffee being delivered to your room in the morning.

Everything! The dogs, cats, cow, chickens, and of course Teresa! The room was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was great and the area is lovely. We couldn’t have wished for a better stay.

The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Lejos lo mejor del lugar son las maravillosas personas que trabajan aquí. La cocinera Delfa hace que el lugar sea lo que es. La comida es increíble, fresca y muy sabrosa. Los precios son buenos. Las habitaciones son abiertas, lo que es una experiencia totalmente diferente. Además es todo muy lindo y con una vista preciosa.

Maria doesn't really speak english, but she definitely trys hard to make you feel comfortable! Also, the food is really good, you have to try the filete del pescado & banano con leche! We did not meet too many other backpackers in the 4 nights we stayed but nevertheless worth a visit.

Beautiful location. Walking distance to main road with some nice restaurants within 30 mins. Information booklet in the room was helpful. Help to rent mopeds, organise transport, guides etc. The room was spacious, bed was really comfortable, hardly any creepy crawlies (this is a complaint from many of the eco lodges). Good wifi. 2 fans which was nice. Good shower pressure and temperature.

Loki the dog was the highlight of Selvista. He came with us all the way up the Maderas volcano and was so sweet and affectionate, not leaving our side the whole way.
