We absolutely loved our stay at DokPhut Guesthouse, in all of our travels it was our favorite stay so far. The staff are all so accommodating, helpful with tours and they’re there to answer any questions we had. Our room was clean, comfortable and had great hot water. The location is perfect, with amazing views of the mountains, right by the morning market and easily walkable to so many restaurants. We originally booked for three nights, and ended up staying 10, and we’re sad to leave!

The family that runs the guest house is extremely kind and willing to go out of their way to assist you. Unlike literally every other place I’ve stayed in Laos their conversion rate for paying is pretty much on point with what Google will tell you (I think it was actually even better). The place is in a great location and the room is clean with lots of space. They also offer a very good breakfast for what you’re paying for the room. I’d recommend booking tours through the owner as his prices were very competitive. I spent a week here so I had time to shop around for tours with different prices and offerings and though he didn’t beat everyone he almost always did or was at least close. Overall a great value for the money.

The location was great and the room was exactly what we expected and wanted for the price! We even extended 2 extra nights as we were so happy here. Moped rental here was excellent too. Massive bang for your buck :)

The accomodation is very near to the town, yet still its perfectly quiet and the garden is very nice. We the rooms are spacios, have ac and are affordable, over all a very nice accomodation.

The quaint rustic bungalow had everything we needed - a mosquito net, quality bed linen, outdoor furniture on the terrace, mountain and stream view and hot water shower. It was also exceptionally clean and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Breakfast menu was excellent - we had the most delicious tuna baguettes with veg. Free drip coffee and tea and water refills were available too. The shaded area where breakfast was served was so relaxing. We loved the presence of two cute cats and a little dog too. Laundry service (20,000 Kip per kg) proved excellent - our clothes came back fresh and still warm from the dryer. Couldn’t imagine a better location - peaceful and surrounded by nature, a 15min walk away from the busy centre. Our top tip would be to avoid the nearest bridge in a bad condition and turn left from the guesthouse, briefly follow the road and walk along the riverside, crossing on a pedestrian only bridge. This makes a lovely sunset walk. The staff were always helpful!

The room is clean and staff is really friendly and helpful! There's also a washing machine in the backyard which is really helpful if you're going to get a buggy.

Very casual and relaxing, i believe this is one of my unforgettable trip in Laos, the owner Jun is very kind, and dogs are adorable, very peaceful and quiet place with beautiful lake view, and the boat trip is amazing that makes us to get to know the biggest lake, very nice view deep inside, i wish i could stayed more, will recommend to all the people who is gonna visit Laos, see u again
