A wonderful time in a wonderful place. I had the pleasure to stay at "the cavalry - abhay niwas" for 4 nights. Unlike many homestays - this place has real character. Col. Uday Bhan Singh, a retired army cavalry and polo rider, shared his military and royal history and gave the property a distinct identity, decorating the antique renovated homestead with horse-riding art, and naming each room with terms from his world. I stayed in the "trot" room which was big and luxuriously decorated. The homestay is well maintained with great care. The Col. Was so friendly and courteous, attentive and caring to my needs, and so is the fine staff. Breakfast was tasty and finely home-cooked. The location is 10 minutes drive from the city palace, which was comfortable enough for me. Of all the places i had booked in india, this is my favorite.

The genuine warmth of Helena and Chandra Singh kept us in awe. The staff were kind, helpful and always greeting with a smile. We loved the long conversations with Helena over breakfast. Her recommendations for exploring the city were quite helpful. Chandra Singh, a culinary wizard treated us with poha and parathas which were the symphony of flavors we will never forget. The hotel is the perfect place to stay and explore Udaipur. The walks by the lakes, our strolls through the old city streets, the cuisine, the spirituality, it all blended seamlessly into an unforgettable experience. Thank you for the hospitality and painting our Udaipur days with hues of warmth and belonging.

The owner who is not only nice and super helpful but also make us feel like at home. The house has only 4 rooms which is good for us since it will be quiet. The house is super clean and nicely decorated. The room itself is also extremely clean , the bed is comfy, and has all basic amenities you need. Location is wonderful, 5m walking to the old centers and abundant restaurants. Definitely will be back and book this place in the future.

They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 10am. We got to apartment super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there. In short if you want a personal space to enjoy your vacation it is best thing you can book, because apartment is equipped with daily household chores like washing machine iron kitchen wares so can cook your own meal. there were two rooms and a hall attached with kitchen. For office work wifi ac was given, one can do all the things they wish to desire and i would highly recommend this apartment.
