The best part of the property is the staff. Owner, Tyson welcomed me explained everything needed. A young lady working at the cafe (Diza, sorry if I mistaken the name)made me one of the best meals in Indonesia I’ve ever tried. Sweet dog and cat were also welcoming and slept under my room’s door at night.The room was simple but very clean with beautiful garden setting. The location is a little bit out of town, but walkable and very quiet. Tyson also organized a jungle trek for me and that was also very good. We saw 8 orangutans)

The owner was so kind. Let me stay in a slightly more expensive room inside without paying the difference and got a ride back to the guesthouse from the city center at night. I wasn’t there for long but definitely felt it was a good deal for the price. It is pretty far from the center of butik lawang. You can walk it in 20min or get a tuktuk for 30rp. The walk is nice. You get to see another side to the area.

Todo, fue una experiencia increíble, pasé unos días maravillosos gracias a Putra y Maya q me hicieron sentir como en casa, viví momentos únicos, incluso fuimos a una fiesta con trajes típicos, paz, risas, alegría por todos lados. This is a big charming, wooden house unlike anything else we saw in Bukit Lawang. It’s beautiful and has a lot of character. The location is great, up many stairs but it’s worth it. Close to nearby restaurants and ‘Jack’s Bar’ which we loved for live music and awesome cocktails in a real jungle setting. The staff are so lovely and helped us with everything we needed, they organised a trek into the jungle for us and a day trip to their conservation site where we saw lots of orangutans. Banana pancakes for breakfast were so delicious too, thank you Ridho! Highly recommend staying here!

La casa es amplia para tres o cuatro personas. Es una instalación simple pero confortable en relación al pueblo de Bukit Lawang. Solo estuvimos una noche pero nos permitieron bañarnos y cambiarnos al regreso del trekking. Los propietarios coordinaron nuestro traslado desde el aeropuerto de Medan y particularmente el trekking de 3 dias y dos noches que recomiendo particularmente con Namg Namg como guia. Es alguien de gran experiencia, conoce los hábitos de los orangutanes muy bien, es muy cuidadoso con los viajrros y tiene muy buen humor. Tambien recomiendo a los dos guías que lo acompañaron.. Excelente experiencia que tuvimos mi hijo adolescente y yo.

From top to bottom I enjoyed the stay! Starting with the host, Jhony is incredibly hospitable. I don’t have enough kind things to say about him and how he treated me for my stay (More on him and the Orangutan trekking with him in the second paragraph). Not only budget friendly but very comfortable, especially compared to other properties in the area. You have your own private room and bathroom (the bathroom has a western toilet, which isn’t the standard around here). There is an actual shower (lots of other places close by are only bucket showers). The mattress is comfortable and the mosquito net doesn’t have any holes. The fan keeps the room at a nice temperate. It’s on a private road and very peaceful. The wifi inside the room itself isn’t very strong but 5 meters away is the lounge and eating area that has strong free wifi, and a pool table. The food is well priced and tasty! There are also lots of other nice food options close by just up the road along the stream for a variety. The orangutan trekking is probably why you are here! He will hold you large bag safely while you go on a tour and will negotiate a fair and affordable price for the tour depending on how many people you have and number of days you want to go for. He’s been a guide for over 20 years and made my 2 day/1 night experience once in a lifetime! We saw a dozen Orangutans and many other types of monkeys, he goes at your pace, he is very knowledgeable and hospitable. I spoke with many other tourists along the way, many spoke about their guides as kind but not so informative. Jhony could answer any question that I had and did things according to how I wanted to do them, ask and he will accommodate your style of trekking and monkey viewing. I stayed in other places in the area, and nowhere was the value for your money as here! Not only for basic budget guests.

The location and staff is great. The room is large and clean and has a very nice balcony with a lot of space and a nice view. Bed is very comfortable. Wifi is fast and available everywhere in the room and balcony. Behind the bungalow is a very nice little quiet area where you can walk around.

So good 👍 best place we have stayed, Murad and his team could not do enough for us, the property is stunning and grounds ar very impressive and well cared for. Breakfast and dinner with Murad was so good 👍 location outside the village but easy with Murads help to get about, Gibbon trip was something else and I would also recommend the bat cave on a separate morning
