Kaesa is an amazing host - we received a warm welcome, a detailled map of the city and nearby attractions and answers to all our questions. He basically organized our itinerary for the 1st day in Berastagi and recommended great restaurants and coffee shops - we couldn't have done it better. We have also booked the sunrise volcano tour with his son (totally recommended, we loved it!) and transport to Lake Toba with a private taxi. The upstairs room has great views from the shared terrace and some chairs to sit outside. Everything was clean and there was hot water in the bathroom. For breakfast, inlcuded in the price, you can choose noodles or rice or some eggs - all super tasty :)

The people are what define a place. I felt completely at home during my entire stay at Nachelle’s. I arrived late, around 11.30 PM, and Mery kindly turned on the heater, even though it’s typically only operational until 10 PM. She also organized all the excursions I wanted to do in Berastagi. When I inquired about renting a flashlight for the hike because I didn’t bring one, she graciously lent me one. Her husband, Abdy, was incredibly friendly, welcoming and full of humor. Additionally the hike was quite educational as he shared interesting facts about volcanoes and some flora and fauna encountered along the way. Mery’s pizza is also a must-try!

This is a beautiful property and without doubt the most luxurious and well maintained property in the area. It is an escape from the busy market town, somewhere to just relax after a day exploring. We were delighted to find such a large well appointed and luxurious villa with great staff. The owner was able to accommodate a request for breakfast and organise dinners for us also (at extra cost) which was great. This property very much has an international feel to it in the way they look after you. We had not planned to spend so much time in the villa but it was so good we spend more time in than out.

Great home stay. Amazing people! It feels like staying with friends. Berastagi is a special place and this is the best place to experience it.

The location is strategic, in front of 2 major hotels and resort. A lot of restaurants can be found within walking distance. The house is still well-maintained, not damp, probably because it gets a lot of morning sunshine. Bathrooms are clean.

Very recommended! Very near to berastagi town. The room was great! Towel and soap provided. No shampoo but its okay. Mattress was good. Also got heater! So greatttt.
