The hosts at Aurora were some of the most helpful and welcoming that I've ever had. They greeted us with Tibetan tea on our arrival and when we left, they gave us a small gift bag. We visited during the Spring Festival so some things were closed and transport was not as available, they helped us with this issue. The hotel is located out of Old town and is a 15 minute drive away. They arranged private drivers for hire, drove us into town whenever we needed and helped us organize our COVID tests. They took us to the hospital and to the bus terminal and helped us plan everything. They spoke English and were always available on Wechat. They provide free breakfast and offer dinner on site. This family is so sweet and so extremely helpful! I will be returning simply because of how warm and welcoming they were.

The owner made our stay really comfortable. A very nice lady, speaks English. The place got its own parking. A big advantage when you are with the luggage and kids. Walkable distance to restaurants and attractions. Really quite at night (THE most important for me).

The Tibet Guest house is run by a lovely family and I had an excellent stay. My room was great with a lovely balcony overlooking the gorge. The views are stunning. The son really helped me with all my hiking needs and I hiked the lower gorge right down by the river and the next day the upper gorge. I was taken to the start of both hikes. The food at the guest house was lovely and I ate there for 2 days. They are so friendly and welcoming it was a joy to be there. I also did all my washing. Everything was perfect for me and they arranged for my onward travel to Shangri La.

Rose’s guest house was our favorite place to stay during our month of traveling through China. Rose is an extremely kind and attentive host. She speaks perfect English and is focused (among others) on delivering western travelers a perfect experience. She is very knowledgeable about the beautiful region of northern Yunnan. We used her guest house as a base to explore amazing places like Yubeng and Tiger Leaping Gorge, which Rose helped us organize flawlessly. We were able to leave our luggage at the guest house during these excursions and Rose took care of our laundry as well, which was very convenient. The location is in a quiet part of the old town, in a beautiful historic Tibetan building that survived the fire. But most of all, the ambience of this place is special. After a couple of days, you will feel like you have found a home away from home. Do yourselves a favor and stay at Timeless Inn - you will not regret it!

The bathroom it's awesome!! Shangri-La is super cold place but the hostel toilet bowl is digital with temperature. When u go toilet is comfy. 😁 I went to Lijiang & Dali also without this facilities. Host got offer book car return Lijiang & Shangri-La, price also reasonable. Hostel provide 2 heater., room it's big, breakfast it's delicious. Recommended

Hotel owner is so helpful and friendly. She speak some English, but communicated with us so well! She sent us the locations of bike rental, coffee shops and more. She also helped with organizing trips and buses. Couldn’t recommend this place more. It was a little hard to find as the sign was covered by a bush,but she came outside looking for us

The hotel was very clean, much better than I expected, there were many beautiful flowers in the garden, the owners were very kind and invited me to have hot pot with them, it was a very pleasant experience！

I was there in January, the room was very warm inside with AC and electric mattress, and very important there was always hot water. Good location opposite Guishan Park and the staff is really kind and helpful.
