Igor and his wife are the most kind and generous people you could ever hope to come across, making sure that we were well-fed, entertained and comfortable. All of the food and drink is homemade and delicious, and we were incredibly grateful for all of the effort that our hosts went to. The property itself is in a beautiful location up in the mountains, and worth visiting at any time of year. Armenia is a beautiful country and the experience at Igor B&B made our visit even more amazing!

I reached the guesthouse only to realise it was full, actually accommodating refugees from Artsakh Karabakh during the Azerbaijan incursion. The host was unable to speak in English but had a big heart to make necessary arrangement for me by putting me up at their home instead. The hostess and the elderly mum are the sweetest Armenians! I was offered a huge room with thick blankets, homemade dinner and a filling breakfast, even the milk and cheese come fresh from a cow which lives beneath their living quarter. Their guesthouse, and home, is not far from the cemetery which affords amazing veiw of Shinuhayr and the surrounding. Their location is also great for day hikes to the abandoned villages Khot (aka Machu Picchu of Armenia), Shinuhayr, and Halidzor. I would come stay with them again if I am back in Shinuhayr.
