After writing this review Slow Home Apartments will no longer be a secret gem, but still a ”shining ” example of a gorgeeous place in the midst of this otherwise peculiar area of El Cabanyal with its mixture of derelict buildings and colorfully tiled house facades. There are 8 units (I think) in this apartment building and we stayed in both a one-room as well as a two-room apartment. The flats are just so lovely, exuding understated good taste with the use of natural materials in gray, beige and brown hues. You unconsciously turn to ”slow mode” when you step into the flat. The kitchenette is so complete with fridge/freezer, stove, kettle, pots, toaster, pod coffee machine, dishwasher, dish soap and even basic condiments. If you are ”into” tidy and clean, look no further, THIS is the apartment for you!!! The manager/owner is a lovely guy who is absolutely a ”hands on” host when he is working at his ground floor office which is almost all the time. One can readily feel how he cares for his apartments as much as he cares for his guests. If you are looking for a laid back area with a genuine provincial feel, away from the crowds of the city and a ten minute walk to the beach and boardwalk, Slow Home Apartments is the vacation rental you will want to stay at. But hurry…. there are only 8 of them!

Super comfortable, spacious and tidy house at a few meters from the beach. The house is fully equipped (the, coffe, air drier etc.) and we felt like at home. Close by there are bars and restaurants, markets and the beach is at 2 minutes walking distance. The host was always available and gave us recommendations and tips about Valencia. We will definitely recommend it!!
