We arrived to San José late in the afternoon and before starting our Costa Rica trip we thought it would be nice to stay on night near the airport. We were welcomed by Joaquín who was nice enough to drive us to collect our rented car. Arriving to the property, you stay in his house together with his family, in a room next to the garden. Room was big, clean and even though it doesn't have AC, there is a great fan that does the trick. We had complimentary coffee and even a mini fridge with water. It was a perfect choice and Liliana and Joaquín are extremely nice and welcoming.

I was looking for something basic, clean, safe, and economical. This is a home where the mother, a son, and a daughter are and the host goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Although economical, the place is VERY clean and is exactly what you would expect in a typical tico home. I 100% will be staying here routinely and look forward to getting to know the family better.
