Platis Yialos is a very nice beach.
Platis Yialos is a very nice beach. There is a charge for the use of the sunbeds which is quite expensive. There is a good beach bar called Yialo Yialo. They serve good food and the staff are very nice in there. Do not go to the DK Oyster bar, this is the bar with the black umbrella's outside on the beach. They have a terrible reputation for ripping people off, sometimes for 100's of Euros. This happened to me a number of years ago and happened to another resident in our hotel this year. The beach is well organised, with many restaurant options. There’s a 5 stars hotel, with a beach bar called Branco, which was really good. I’d say that 85% of the beach is covered by the sun beds for rental. The remaining part is public, so people can lay down on the sand on their own towels. The view from our room was wonderful, towards the hill covered in Myconian white houses. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, although buses are not very accurate and reliable. The young receptionist (I think his name is Anthonis) is extremely kind, he made our stay even more pleasant. The room cleaning is fair, on daily basis. The hotel is clean overall and pays attention to Covid measures.AleksandraSerbia

It is calm with a fantastic view but you won't miss out the bussy nightlife either. The rooms are cleaned regurarly. Quality breakfast included. If you want to have lunch or dinner you can have it for a fair price. Pools and the whole area of the hotel is clean and organised.
