The room was spacious. There was a kitchen to use, but whilst I was cooking the “host”came in and turned the hob down.

The apartment was well decorated and very clean, it has all essential items barring a hoover. The staff were very helpful and friendly from the young boy behind the reception getting us a travel cot to the lady that came to hoover up my little ones crisps that had been spilled on the floor.

When I brought an issue with my dinner to their attention the staff didn't quibble but immediately removed the item from by bill and offered an alternative or replacement.

We were there to attend an event and to conduct some family history research in the excellent facilities provided by Kirkcaldy Library and Museum. The town itself is looking good, certainly in the area round Victoria Road.

Kirkcaldy is a good place for access to Edinburgh, Fife and The East Neuk. It has its own charm, but the town centre is quite run down. Take the bus to the nearby beaches, or right up to the beautiful villages of East Neuk. There are a couple of good curry houses on the High Street, I liked The Prince especially. The older streets away from the High Street and the Parks are quite lovely, and the museum and gallery are good.

Visited the gallery/museum which was located near our hotel.
Visited the gallery/museum which was located near our hotel. This was a hidden gem as the pictures on display were very good as was the museum which had sections dedicated to the past linoleum industry and mining communities. Fascinating.
Kirkcaldy has a full range of shops available as well as a modernised sea promenade.
All in all found Kirkcaldy a very enjoyable place to visit and wished we had spent more time there!

The best thing about Kirkcaldy is going to see the seals.
The best thing about Kirkcaldy is going to see the seals. Ask at your hotel how to see them. Need to be able to walk about 20 mins. They are nearly always there . Easy to get train in and out of Edinburgh. If you like walking or biking. Fife coastal path is lovely. Can walk between stations and get train back

We came to visit Kirkcaldy gallery for the Vettriano exhibition. The gallery was lovely with a cafe with decent coffee, museum and gallery shop. We had travelled from Glastonbury for this exhibition and stopped in York on the way up. Kirkcaldy is not very pretty overall, the seafront felt quite industrial but we found a good fish and chips shop called Rinaldis and all the local people were friendly.
This was a lovely old as in traditional hotel, it had many original features in the public areas. Large ornate fireplace with a real fire, staircase and stained glass window, lovely ornate cornicing.
Set in a nice location just out of Kirkcaldy with sea views.
The hotel and rooms were warm, and spacious. The food was unpretentious but well cooked, presented and fairly priced.
The breakfast choice was excellent and well cooked.
The bar is a bit pricy but swings and roundabouts 😊..
The staff were all very nice and efficient.
The hotel was very clean. Restaurant was good, the menu was adequate, and the portions were more than ample. The breakfast was so much that I could not eat it all.
The room was small, but clean and had all I would need for a couple of nights. The inside of the hotel was quite ornate with a stairwell and hall/lobby that matched the age of the building.
The locattion was good, only a few minutes from Kirkcaldy centre.
This was a fabulous hotel with very friendly staff. Emily, in reception, was excellent and was very helpful with a personal request. Stuart was also excellent and gave us a lovely greeting on arrival and also with any requests we asked of him.. The room was spacious and very clean with everything you needed for a lovely stay.
Would definitely stay again when in Kirkcaldy visiting family.
Room has been upgraded since my last visit. Clean and comfortable. Lovely hot shower in the morning and a fantastic breakfast that was included in the price. I can see why many people choose this hotel. On my infrequent visits to Kirkcaldy this is usually my No 1 choice for places to stay. It's very central for public transport and all facilities in the town. Its a very well-run hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Loved the original period features kept in the main building. Bedroom I had was ideal for solo traveller. Roomy, beautifully updated to a very high standard as was the en suite. Cleanliness and hygiene of accommodation spot on. Staff professional and very approachable. Breakfast delicious and very generous.
The hotel was lovely and clean, homely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and en suite were warm and very clean and the shower worked excellently. I also liked that as well as all the tea, coffee and biscuits there were two bottles of water in the fridge.
The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing for dinner and cooked breakfast. nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is in a beautiful setting right on the Golf course. The hotel isn’t far from the centre of Kirkcaldy, beautiful for walks.
Everything in the hotel from staff, facilities and food was excellent. We'll recommend this place is excellent, clean and warm and food is so fresh. Definitely, I'm coming back to stay again next time I'm in the area.
the hotel is in a perfect location my room 5 was really good perfect in fact ,the breakfast was lovely everything was available cerial and full english the service very friendy
