The food was AMAZING !! The Staff were amazing !! Olivia was amazing on the front desk and was so helpful and friendly she went above and beyond, making our stay comfortable, helping us rent scooters! The whole team there was just wonderful, Hasus was an amazing server and made the best coffee, The cleaning ladies were so kind and did such a great job! The resort itself is stunning and right on the beach. Highly recommend and would stay there again 10/10

The view of the upper rooms was just insane. In general the rooms were very tastefully decorated. On top it was very quiet. Everything felt high quality. It was better than on the photos.

Posada Buda-Tortuga, hotel in San Agustinillo

Situated in San Agustinillo, a few steps from Agustinillo Beach, Posada Buda-Tortuga features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.

Location fantastic in a wonderful beach. Food offering very poor and inconsistent (on various days: no coffee available; no fresh fruit; unable to make an omelette although on menu etc). This is a relatively new hotel Posada but they don’t seem to understand basic service needs. Room was fine and clean. Staff trying but management lacks experience.

Such a unique space that was charming and industrial at the same time. In keeping with the extremely clean environment each unit had a funky and functional foot washing station that 'almost' ensured a sand-free floor. I could have showered for hours in the spacious semi indoor/outdoor rain shower!!

This was heaven on earth. There is no way you can be more on the beach than here. We had the apartment with kitchen on the ground floor. There was a big terrace with chairs. We had our own loungers. The apartment was beautifully decorated and well appointed. People were super friendly. The restaurant was really nice. The beach itself is stunning. It’s so beautiful and clean. I’m so glad we stayed three nights.

The most beautiful view of the entire Mexican holiday (we stayed in 12 different hotels during the whole trip)! Room was spacious, clean and again the views from the room, just breathtaking! Excellent beautiful pool- very relaxing after a day at the beach. The breakfast was very tasty, I especially liked the fresh fruit selection and we asked for fresh pineapple juice, it was just great (pure nice sweet pineapple without any additives). And last but not least, the hotel staff is very well selected - excellent communicators, friendly and welcoming, thank you! :)

Cabañas Las 3 Marias, hotel in San Agustinillo

Over a hillside, Cabañas Las 3 Marías rise overlooking the beachfront of San Agustín bay.

Great view on the ocean and only 3 mn walk to the beach. Our kids enjoyed the pool a lot. Our family room was simple and charming. The restaurant doesn't open in the afternoon but we felt we had a private chef because we were planning what we wanted to eat for breakfast and lunch with him for the next day... and it was always delicious! Very nice staff.

San Agustinillo is a sleepy village where the primary activities are lounging, swimming, surfing, and eating. It seems European/North American expats make up a large proportion of permanent residents, making it difficult to discern who the tourists are, so expect to see high numbers of caucasians. Nearby Mazunte (15 min walk) is slightly larger but is much the same with more dining/shopping options open later into the evening, attracting a younger crowd.

Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children.

Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children. Quiet little town, much mellower then Mazunte. Lots of traffic on the main road. Remember to bring cash - the ATM overcharged us (and many others), and most places only accept cash. I'd definitelty recommend getting out on a boat to see dolphins, turtles, and maybe a whale!

It’s a small pretty town with fun activities and places to visit. It’s a good place to relax and forget about everything else. I’ll recommend visiting the neighbor towns (Puerto Angel, Zipolite, Mazunte, and Ventanilla). Zipolite is a nude beach that has nice hotels, beach-clubs, and restaurants. Ventanilla is fun to see the Crocodiles, horse back ride, and turtles. Mazunte has the turtle museum which is not very good. It’s nice to walk around. Visit Punta cometa.

    The beach is very nice.

The beach is very nice. There are some nice restaurants or bars on the street but not so many options and not so living place like mazunte. However, you can easily walk to mazunte and rinconcito street.

    This accommodation was 10/10.

This accommodation was 10/10. We rented a scooter for 500mx/day which was easy to travel between the town of Mazunte/Zipolite and San Agustinillo with no issues (day or night). I would highly recommend this stay if you are looking for a little more remote and relaxation. It is a little out of the main town so a scooter was convenient. Otherwise, the hotel will help you getting a cab whenever you need.

San Agustinillo is a peaceful destination on the Mexican Pacific coast of Oaxaca. The town is clean, safe and friendly. There are plenty of opportunities to practice self care. This is not a party town. If you look for relaxation and beauty, this is the place to go to!

We booked a room for 3 nights with ocean view, we had a room street side, with no view. The manager told us that our room was already booked, that he could just propose for the next day another smaller room, with only one bed, with partial ocean view. We paid in advance and the price was high, for a nice room and it was not longer the case. The hotel, as booking.com have sold a room with was not available, it is called stealing. None of them took responsibility. We left and lost our money.

The bed was fantastic, I know it is super hot there (thank you for AC) but I hate cold showers. Not understanding why they gave us the room closest to the road (noisy) when we were the only people at the hotel. The rule no outside drinks or food at the property made it difficult being there for 4 days. The staff were very nice. Loved the swinging beds and the most fantastic sunrises and sunsets very worthy as one of the the most romantic places to be, San Augustinillo.

It’s hard to pinpoint a single highlight because simply everything stood out! It was incredibly cozy, friendly, and fun, and all the amenities rocked! Manu (the host) greeted us by saying “welcome to paradise” and truer words have never been spoken. Added bonuses? The restaurant in the hotel was amazing (fresh mango juice every day) and each room had two designated beach lounge chairs. This is one of my favorite vacation spots ever!

Don’t know how anyone can moan - incredible rooms right on the beach. The beach itself is really quiet and the hotel provides sun loungers, hammocks etc that you can use all day. Other reviews mention salt water showers but this is false, they’re all fresh water with good pressure. The breakfasts are also delicious and the team at the hotel/cafe were lovely. The list goes on!

We liked everything. The location and cleanliness are exceptional and we loved the view from the room and from the public areas. We also enjoyed being a little bit away from the night buzz of Mazunte and San Agustinillo. The king size bed is very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to assist us. As the place is quite small we felt as if it was our own house.

The location was perfect, at the point overlooking two bays. San Agustinillo was a much cleaner beach than Manzute and less of a party town than Zipolite. Perfect in between! The premise was clean, Isabel was helpful and very friendly! The king room with ocean views was large and super comfortable for two people.
