This is the best hotel I have stayed in in 50 years of travelling. The reception staff were kind and attentive as were all the staff, we were honestly made to feel so special. The rooms were amazing, equipped with every conceivable thing you might need from toiletries to drinks and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff even if you just encountered staff in the lifts they were still all smiles and checking you were enjoying your holiday. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, the restaurants and bars all excellent and the pool area wonderful. Few minutes walk to the ferries and the beach. Loved my first time in Malta and this hotel was one of the main reasons. It’s so refreshing to encounter excellent service, I was made to feel like a millionaire (only this hotel was affordable on top of everything else) Top marks to management and staff.

For a two-star hotel, it exceeded my expectations in every way! I needed an affordable place to stay for four nights during my trip to Malta, and this hotel seemed like the perfect fit. After my stay, I can confidently say I made the right choice.
The room was simple but clean, and I appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining its cleanliness. It felt cozy and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to unwind after a day of exploring.
The staff played a significant role in enhancing my experience. They were incredibly nice and welcoming, always ready to help with any questions or requests I had. Their friendliness made a real difference, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout my stay.
The hotel's location in Sliema was another highlight. Situated right on the promenade, it offered easy access to beautiful waterfront views, local shops, and restaurants. It was an ideal spot for enjoying the vibrant surroundings and convenient for getting around the area.
It's important to remember that this is still a two-star hotel, so it doesn’t offer some of the luxuries you might find in higher-rated establishments. However, considering the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the prime location, I found it deserving of a high rating. In fact, I wouldn't have rated it as highly as I did – a solid 9 – if it weren't for these key aspects.
In summary, if you're seeking a budget-friendly option in Sliema, this two-star hotel is a great choice. It delivers on cleanliness, friendly service, and a fantastic location, making it an excellent value for the price.

Bad customer service, they cannot solve problems themselves, contact Booking, they change the entrance code, they do not communicate, the shower siphon is clogged,,
Stained toilets, bad smell in the room, a bathroom for 6 beds is uncomfortable, etc. I would not recommend if you want to have a good and pleasant stay, for me cleanliness is essential. They make noise, that's normal and it doesn't bother me.

Sliema is lovely - very well connected with lots of shops and good restaurants and bars open late, with some amazing views of Valletta. The water taxi is easy and relatively cheap across to Valletta too - a perfect location if you don't fancy paying the higher prices of the main city. We felt very safe and it's very easy to venture into St. Julian's and other areas if you fancy more of a party vibe.

Sliema, Malta, is a vibrant and bustling city that offers a perfect blend of modern amenities and historic charm. As a traveler, I found Sliema to be an ideal base for exploring Malta. The city’s promenade, lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, provides stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the nearby capital, Valletta. Sliema's central location makes it convenient for day trips to other parts of the island, and the frequent ferry service to Valletta is both quick and scenic.
The city is also known for its lively atmosphere and excellent shopping options, from local boutiques to international brands. There are plenty of dining choices, offering everything from traditional Maltese cuisine to global fare. The nightlife in Sliema is energetic, with numerous bars and clubs to enjoy.
However, Sliema can be quite busy, especially during peak tourist season, and the construction of new developments can sometimes detract from its charm. Despite this, the convenience, beautiful seafront, and array of activities make Sliema a fantastic destination for any traveler visiting Malta.

Traffic congestion due to narrow roads.
Traffic congestion due to narrow roads. A lot of construction. Beautiful sights. A lot to do. Many forts and churches. Multiple boat ride options. Hoop off hoop on was very affordable and worked well. Cab availability was great and most expensive fare was $30.00, usually about $20.00/ trip. Many restaurants were within walking distance, (less than 1 mile.). Beautiful city, no crime, a lot to see. Felt safe everywhere.

Very good public transport network included ferries to Valetta. If you would like to experience the culture then you would be in for a huge disappointment. It seemed to me that Maltese nation totally abandoned their culture in favour to tourism.
The hotel is very well located, in the very lively area of Sliema. There are supermarkets, bars, restaurants, beauty salons and other shops in the walking distance from the hotel. Rooms are clean, cozy, quite spacious and has all commodities it needs. The ones with the sea view overlook to the beautiful city of Valetta. Nevertheless, the staff is the best part of the hotel. Extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We felt at home from day 1 and would definitely go back.
The best part was the location. Sliema is really a happening location in Malta with lots of restaurants and bus/Ferry stops nearby. It's almost a central location to commute to any part of Malta.
The apartment was cosy and very neat and clean. The instructions given by Irina were very good and we didn't face any issues in entering our apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment for a Solo, Family or a Business trip.
After many visits in Malta, we decided that Sliema is the best location and this hotel had a great position right in the center of Sliema, on a quiet and safe street, close to everything.
The room was cleaned every day, the towels were changed every day, everything was just perfect!
And, at the end, the host agreed to keep, for free, our luggages until the evening, when we had the flight, which was a great help for us.
Good things:
1. extremly friendly receptionists, make you feel very welcomed all the time
2. There is a restaurant OPA in front of the hotel, where guests of the hotel get 15% discount on lunch or dinner
3. Great location (5 star one) from where you can get the ferry to Valletta or busses to any direction on Malta
4. The rooms looking towards the sea are wonderful, worth the price and I reccomend
Very good location - plenty of bus stops around and few minutes from Sliema-Valletta ferry. Our room was small but had everything necessary (only one small suggestion - would be good to have some cup for toothbrushes in the bathroom). The continental breakfast was delicious. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. Recently, a rooftop terrace with pool was opened which was superb.
The hotel pool area is quite nice. Breakfast/dinner room pretty and tidy, meals were good (dinner was better at this hotel than at the sister Palace hotel). Front desk cordial and effective, and they were very nice to let us in for breakfast before 7 am, due to our departure time.
All the entrance hall is welcoming and stylish. They provided a cot for our baby.
it was very clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and they were doing their best to make our stay easy. The hotel is located on Sliema 1 min from ferry 3 station so you have direct station from airport with bus. location is excellent, also ferries that are going to valleta are right in front of the apartment.
Breakfast was great. Umberto made very tasty and fluffy omelets. The room is very spacious and the location of the hotel is like 3 minutes from ferry and bus stops as well as restaurants and cafes in Sliema. Keith gave us useful info about which buses to take to get to our destination in the best possible way.
Fast check-in and check-out procedure. Good breakfast. Perfect location on the seafront, a supermarket in the vicinity, lots of bars and a variety of eateries around. Nice and helpful staff. Bus stops (Chalet, Ghadir) a few metres from the hotel, 5-minute walk to Sliema Ferries and fast food restaurants.
A humble, but very beautiful place with a lots of restaurants and a main street of Sliema nearby. Additionally, not far from the hotel you can find a supermarket. The room is clean, has a basic amenities, all in a good price.
Breakfast are great, there are many choices. Great location, close to the center. Walking distance to Sliema centrum and St. Julian. The hotel staff are friendly, nice and helpful.
STAFF STAFF STAFF - this review is all about the staff at the Palace Hotel and their lovely professional yet friendly and warming attitude. They made our stay a really positive one
