Excellent breakfast, reception rooms and lounge bar. Spa facilities very good. Service very professional. We had amazing cocktails with local gins and spirits, sitting in front of a roaring fire and a good chesterfield sofa... Loved it!

if you’re looking for a very basic, roof over head scenario then you’ll be grand. if you’re looking anything grander, forget it. It had everything we needed. To get their put Eddie’s Cottage into google maps, it’ll avoid the longer back road drive that google takes you when you use the description on the booking listing. Eddie (when we met him) was very polite and friendly, and he’d lit the fire for us arriving. Good location for staying close to Mount Errigal.

Donegal is a beautiful area, rugged and less crowded in April. Would highly recommend this area, particularly to people who like walking/hiking opportunities. Slieve League is a must and Glenveagh castle and gardens, which are open, are charming. Other attractions in the area are worth a visit.

Amazing little town, nestled in the mountains on the banks of a v fast flowing river. Staff were ever so helpful, nothing was a problem. It was a v pleasant surprise to have access to the swimming pool next door. The castle across the street is v interesting and free to enter. We loved energy thing about this hotel and the live traditional music at night made for a very relaxing stay. Definitely recommend a visit😁

North west Donegal has spectacular beaches without any doubt. There are far too many houses built on land that has sea views, this has to be ignored by any visitors.
The Fanad peninsula was the best place, not as developed.

Donegal is one of the loveliest parts of Ireland and always worth a visit, from the wild countryside to Errigal mountain and the rugged coastline. The people are very friendly and welcoming. This was a short visit, but I have been before and stayed longer.

O' Donnell castle or Donegal castle was the highlight of our stay, plus a visit to Slieve League, as it was raining so much we just travelled around in the care, taking in the views as we could. Donegal is a great County to visit but you need the sunshine to see it at its best. If you visit Ireland, Donegal is a must place to go. Tara Hotel in Killybegs is the place to have your meals, great food great staff.
This hotel was nicely located in the center of town within walking distance to many pubs with live music. Blazers restaurant was a big hit with an awesome waiter. I had a really good steak for dinner.
A bonus is right when we were about to hit the road to the next destination the cleaning staff found our credit card we thought we lost earlier in our trip. They called us right away and we were able to unlock it and keep using it. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
Jack and his family are incredible hosts. We were greeted upon arrival and given wonderful recommendations on the area. We were able to park our car at the property and walk into town daily. There was a mini fridge in our room, coffee and tea, and something brought to our door each morning for breakfast. This is more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. We had a wonderful time!
I liked the wildernes of Donegal and remoteness and privacy, beautiful Arranmore ireland and ferry across, sea food, tranquillity of country site plenty of space for family and an experience of old Irish town, friendliness of locals. Owner was very helpful. Easy access to take aways, restaurants or fully equiped kitchen if you like to cook. Definitely recommend.
Stayed in Donegal Town as part of our Wild Atlantic Way trip. Thank god we booked this hotel as it’s the best place in the town by far. The restaurant in the hotel gave us our nicest meal of our whole trip and I will visit again just to eat there, waited on by a fabulous waitress called Jess. See ye soon.

Great location right in the middle of donegal town. hotel was lovely, room was really clean and the beds were super comfy! staff were all really friendly and so was the night porter. highly recommend, such great value for money & way better than what I expected. Thanks again for a lovely stay.
This place is a dream house. I was really hoping for an Irish country setting and it fulfilled that desire to the T. It's setting is unbelievable and so very quiet. Close enough to Donegal (my favorite Irish town) and yet set apart by being out in the country.
Great location for Donegal town, 5 mins walk from centre. We had an outside room, which suited us, as we were late out each evening. Rooms great size and very clean. Staff very friendly. We had breakfast at Blas and again faultless, will definitely be back
What I've come to expect when I visit Ireland is a warm welcome by the host. Steve did not disappoint. His humor coupled with kindness was the perfect combination.and his B&B home was a three minute walk to Donegal city center. Brilliant.
Geraldine was so accommodating and truly knowledgeable about Donegal. She served a lovely breakfast. The location is so close. We walked over the bridge to town. This is now my favorite village in Ireland!!!
Highly recommend rather than staying in an overpriced hotel. The room was by far more superior than local hotels. I would chose to stay here again when we next visit Donegal town.
Fantastic location...just a 2 minute walk to town. The hotel is very clean & comfortable. Room was very spacious & comfortable. We sincerely enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.
Beautiful location within 5-10 min drive of Donegal town. The hotel is stunning with very clean and high end rooms, staff were very friendly and spa facilities were great.
Beautiful comfortable, clean, fresh home and so easy to get to Donegal town or surrounding areas, very central. Spoke with Ann on the phone and she is so lovely.
Apartment was super clean and it was in the center of Donegal Town. There us busstop and market just behind the apartment. Host was very kind and helpful.
