Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesCleaning could be better. I stayed on two separate occasions and both times had issues on check in. First time, the bed sheets looked okay, but the bathroom was not cleaned well - there was some kind of splatter all over the bathroom door. Second time, the bed sheets were clearly not changed. Both times, the issue was easily resolved by speaking with the front desk. Front desk says your room number out loud when checking in. This made me uneasy for safety reasons - anyone nearby would know my room number. Usually, the front desk at hotels say 'Your room is on x floor' and leave out the actual number.
Nice lounge in the lobby area - good to relax in after a long day or get some work done. Free snacks and coffee available. Rooms are a decent size and did not have much noise from the street. Rooms have recently been remodeled - living/bed area seems updated but bathrooms are somewhat older.

Cannot flaw them, they were fantastic and our room was lovely! Breakfast was great, access to coin laundry in the hotel (washing powder provided), free coffee machine and ice cream, a book nook and areas to sit and relax. We accidentally left a few belongings and they have been really helpful to get them back to us.

MalaysiaDo not know why unable to sleep well in the room. Unless you really too tired or else you won't feel comfortable to sleep. The most serious cleanliness problem is at the lobby 2nd floor breakfast buffet area. I accidently take a tea cup with a lot of visible dust on it. Obviously they never clean any cup from inner row. Only outside 1 to 2 row of cup is clean. When I try to take from inside. I get a shock because it is so dirty. And the corridor outside my room no one clean at all. The dust and visible dirty stuff outside my door everyday since the first day I stay. No cleaner ever Vacuum the carpet outside my room door. And third, I was surprised cleaner wear their shoes and step into the room floor when they do housekeeping. And the reason given is they will mop the floor after complete housekeeping and before go out. Is it really clean? The shoes full of dirt already step on the floor in customer's room. I strongly suggest this hotel should manage cleanliness properly. Because they are new opening. If the facility become old. I am sure there will be more problem appear such as smelly in the bathroom etc happened in future.
The first day go to 2nd floor lobby- public area- feel ambience very good. Although difficult to find the place as it is far away from metro station. But nearby bus stop. If you travel by bus is convenient. Although the design at 2nd floor let customer feel good at first. But the ambience in 2nd floor become not good when I found out it is 360° angle the reception can view any single table in the breakfast dining area. There is no hidden angle. Although there are some books available for reading. But no one relax and reading there. Because feel very stress unable to relax at all. Finally I understand why there is no one sitting and relax reading book there. Wasting of the reading materials in this space.
