Anavana is a hidden gem at the end of Chaweng beach, very quiet at night, beautiful tropical garden and very comfortable bungalows. Hotel director Ame and her team is just amazing, wonderful, lovely people who make you feel at home as soon as you enter the hotel. We stayed here for 3 weeks, enjoyed the nice beach, the delicious breakfast buffet with ocean view! Highly recommend this little boutique hotel!

Initial impression is it's rather isolated although it's not!

Riverside location and view from restaurant. Proximity to market and riverboat pier. Big room, very well equipped, comfortable beds.

Bad service. When we checked in the staff made a mistake to give us the wrong type of room and kept us waiting for more than half an hour when we were all got wet in clothes and felt so cold!

Water pressure in the shower was a bit weak at times. No smart TV / streaming channels which seemed strange for a more modern/expensive place. Room was basic enough, nothing special which was disappointing as this was one of the more expensive places on our trip. Due to the one-way narrow street, it's hard to get a taxi to/from, so we walked up to the 7-Eleven as that was easier. Overall, Grab had a longer wait than other areas we've been though. The ferry boats are convenient but seemed to stop early in the day, which made the location a bit more awkward to get to.

The pool area was nice and relaxing, despite reviews saying it's too open! There are still plenty of areas and beds to relax, and I didn't find the openness of it to be a problem. It's just quite a shallow pool, so it's not the best for swimming. Comfortable beds and staff were friendly and accommodating. Nearby market convenient during the day but a lot of restaurants and cafes close early nearby.

They were painting the building while we were there so there was the strong smell of paint around the pool area.

Close to boat station that allows to connect with the turistic places and other transportation systems in the city. placed in a non turistic area, so being able to live the local life, with a market around. Great ambiance. Swimming pool. Cool and helpful staff.

Great location for watching the boats on the river, especially in the evening, a lovely scenic view. We had a sky view room which was very comfortable. The pillows were really soft and cosy. We arrived early in the morning and the staff were happy to keep our bags while we went for a trip on the canals and allowed us to use the hotel facilities. The pool was cool and fine to swim and cool down although it was not very deep. Breakfast was good with a reasonable range of choices.

Great restaurant overlooking the river - you can watch the sun come up during breakfast. Beds were super comfortable, and bedding was excellent. Beautifully minimalistic furniture in room - beautifully designed.

A bit more information about the using hotel amenities and understanding hotel policies would have been helpful. The hotel has a very interesting history but no brochure or book to celebrate this.

Location was great especially for access to river activities and view from restaurant deck directly on the river was spectacular at night. Really enjoyed the overall ambience of the hotel, grounds and cafe/restaurant.

One day I returned at 3:30pm to find my room had not been serviced and had to call the reception to chase up housekeeping. That shouldn't happen in a hotel of this standard. Food menu could have had more classic Thai dishes. Appetizers focused on western interpretations of Thai food, and not very well.

I stayed in the River View Suite, which did have an excellent view of the Chao Phraya River, and across to the Grand Palace. Helpful staff.
