The cost of the spa was extortionate in my opinion. It would have been nice to have a morning swim. The family room that I stayed in with my husband and children was exceptional. The standard double I booked for my elderly parents was very small.

The breakfast was amazing, although crowded. The location was fabulous and the staff very helpful.

The hotel itself is lovely and stylish, but i will say i kept bumping my head on the hanging light in my room. Im only 5 '4 so im not particularly tall 😄

The staff were really helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was just amazing! Loved the spa as well, so while you do have to pay for it, it's very reasonable at approx £15 for guests. Would highly recommend this hotel. The location is also spot on - just a short walk to the fishmarket, funicular etc.

We had a ropey moment at the start where we were kindly upgraded, but placed in a “ghost room” on the system that actually had someone in. Given that this was at 1am and we woke the person up, this wasn’t ideal. The hotel did send us some fruit and macarons as an apology.

The breakfast had a huge choice, rooms are nicely decorated.

Initially given a low numbered room on 9th floor 903 which despite the triple glazing was still extremely noisy as opposite various bars with very loud live music on a Saturday night. described as a large double it felt very small. One side light didn’t work. Nice balcony. Extra cost for using spa on a weekend that was £40 each - on top of an already expensive room too much money.

Central location, parking available, breakfast was epic - the best I’ve ever eaten. Upgrade on room 657 and was fantastic with views over the park and mountains.

Having to pay 2500NK for the swimming pool was not acceptable to me. This should be highlighted clearly at time of booking. This was one of the reasons for booking this hotel

After a day in the city we came back and our room was not cleaned. The housekeeping promised us to clean the room when we went our for dinner but when we came back we noticed that the floor was still dirty, this is not ok for a 5 star hotel. It's sad that you have to pay for the pool as a guest.

Some of the rooms are extremely small. We had to move to another one and pay the upgrade as the standard is not nice, you feel trapped and very different feeling when you walk in that what is shown on pictures

Great hotel in the heart of Bergen, just a stroll away from the harbour and Bryggen quarter. Good facilities and professional staff. Clean room and great views to Bergen and the surrounding hills. One of the best breakfast selections ever tried in a 4 star hotel.
