The property was very quiet and private with plenty of car parking space, the room was perfect and very comfortable, had excellent amenities in the room and Helga the host was very friendly and explained everything we needed to know for our stay 👍

We did mention we would have felt safer in the large shower area if there had been a handle on the wall to hold on to while showering.

We could have exactly what we liked for breakfast and it was cooked to order. there was plenty of fruit on offer too. our quiet and characterful room with a large en suite shower room was just right for two of us. good to have a large wall mounted television.

Helga is the perfect host for the most beautiful setting at the Rectory. The grounds, the house and the room were more than we expected. Helga cooked up a tasty breakfast for us in the stunning dining room overlooking the view to the countryside. A special touch was our long chat over breakfast about her journeys through europe over the years. We will come back in a heartbeat and were not surprised she gets booked up so fast. High recommend staying at the Rectory.

We didn't have a car and (not the fault of the hotel) taxis were scarce on this bank holiday weekend, so getting to and from Deal was a bit complicated. It would have been lovely if there had been a bar to have a nightcap before bed - perhaps an honour-based system where we could help ourselves so the hosts didn't have to stay up. Or if the mini bar had a few beers and a bottle of wine. As it was, once back at the hotel late evening, the only thing left was to go to bed.

The house, grounds and bedroom were superb, and breakfast was delicious. Helga was helpful, professional and friendly as well. All in all, it was a great stay.

Nothing to dislike, if you wanted an evening drink then the locals were a bit of a trek, but we managed around that and enjoyed a small glass of wine in the garden area

Helga was amazing. We were in the area for a wedding and she called and booked our cabs for both journeys, which on a day of train strikes was awesome. Great breakfast and lovely setting.

Full breakfast, fresh fruit, bed v comfortable...info from host. Lots of local info and supreme hospitality. refreshing room each day.. cold bottled water. locally sourced food. bacon was delicious! walled garden...so relaxi glingeing at breakfast to read. Lovely relaxing vibe.

Not much could have been better, but some form of heat source for the somewhat chilly Summer weather would have been welcome.
