Quirky hotel in a fabulous location opposite the Pier. The small team (especially the receptionist) were super friendly and helpful. Water in the fridge and an Nespresso machine are nice touches.

It was quite noisy when people went up and down the stairs to the room above us but that’s to be expected in such an old building.

The location is brilliant with beautiful views of the coastline and pier from our room. We were a family of 5 and the sunrise suite had plenty of room for us. Tea and coffee facilities and a microwave and fridge which was very handy. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Deal.

The facilities/quality of the room was rather basic, however this is reflected in the price so I don’t consider this disappointing. The curtains were all too small however and didn’t cover the window so we had to put towels on the curtain pole as well to make it darker for our child. The armchairs in the lounge were dreadfully uncomfortable.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the sea front with fabulous views and only 6 minute walk from the train station. We stayed in the two bedroom Lighthouse Suite which was a very good size. Staff were friendly and allowed us into our room early as they had finished cleaning it. Check in/out was all remote so seamless.

This was our third stay at the Clarendon and we weren't disappointed. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom appeared to have been recently modernised. Parking is available in the main town car park just behind the hotel. The online check-in with key code worked perfectly.

During my recent stay at the hotel, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room was not only spotlessly clean but also well-maintained, making for a comfortable and relaxing environment. Additionally, all the facilities I needed were readily available, which added to the overall convenience of my stay.

There should be an extractor fan in the bathroom, if possible. Parking is in a nearby public car park.

We stayed in the Smuggler's cabin which was a small suite. Great value for money. It was excellently decorated and the bathroom was brilliant. There were plenty of power sockets for charging devices. WiFi was free, and a good speed.

Might be a bit rowdy on a Saturday night?

Seafront location opposite the minimalist pier is ideal for exploring Deal. Remote registration & entry worked fine. Not luxurious but not expensive.

There are a lot of stairs but the hotel does point this out so it shouldn't be a surprise.

Location was excellent - very close to railway station and bus stop where you can catch buses to Dover, Sandwich etc. Sea view from bedroom window was lovely and it was surprisingly quiet. Bed was very comfy and the fridge was very useful. Orla was very friendly and helpful as was the decorator who offered to take my case down the stairs as I was leaving!

Great view but couldn't open the window and I can understand that for safety as the room is at street level. So to let air in from time to time we had to leave the main door open for a few minutes.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Clarendon. We stayed in the Smugglers Cabin. It was very clean and had all the things we needed. Great view and we met some staff, they were very helpful in answering our questions. Lovely place, would book again.

What The Clarendon offers is very good but obviously it doesn’t offer facilities such as breakfast. However there are places nearby such as the excellent cafe at the end of the pier.

The chorus of seagulls that went off before my alarm could have been quieter but I blame nature not the hotel. Needs a little TLC in areas but it was being decorated as I was there so you can tell owners making real efforts. I am being picky - really couldn't fault the place.

Lovely little spot and just perfect as a base camp whilst working in the area. Rooms were comfy and clean with plenty of tea and a coffee. Could not fault it. It was what I was after and very fairly priced. It doesn't do food but lots of great places within 100 yards in any direction.
