There is no breakfast/cafe in house, and it would have been helpful to have this as an option. We had to ask for extra tea, coffee and milk etc as there was only a minimum provided, but the staff topped us up straight away and it wasn't really a problem.

The location was central and within walking distance of the old town and lots of good cafes/restaurants, with a lovely sea view. The staff were really friendly and helpful (Jenia in particular - thank you!). We had a problem with the hot water in our room and it was sorted out within 10 minutes.

The were very few teabags, coffee sachets and milk sachets provided. We bought our own teabags, coffee and milk.

The room was spacious with a couple of armchairs and a small table. It was on the top floor with a good view overlooking the promenade and the beach. There was a small fridge in the room which was very useful for keeping fresh milk and perishable foods so we could have an early breakfast. The landlady was friendly and helpful and did admirably well in coping with a water supply problem which had hit the whole of the area shortly before we arrived.

Unfortunately the water was cut off in most of Hastings due to a burst water pipe. The lodge kindly phoned us to explain the situation just in case we hadn't seen the news and we decided to come anyway. There was ample bottled water available.

The room was perfect for a short stay in Hastings located on the seafront in-between the pier and the old town, a short walk in either direction. We had a sea view. There is an underground car park opposite which was very convenient.

The entrance and stairwell are not welcoming, it looks quite run down which is in contrast to the very nice room.

The view from the room was amazing, and it was lovely I was on the top floor so no one above me, it was lovely and quiet and the decor in the room was amazing, loved the room!

Didn't like is a bit strong, but I'd have personally rearranged the room a little bit so the kids were in the upstairs part of the room. If you're taller than 5'2" you will need to contort yourself to get to the double bed. If you're taller than say 6'2" this room is probably not for you. Otherwise, I liked it

The hotel is open about accessibility of the rooms, but can be a little off-putting if you have a lot of luggage. It's a 10 minute walk from the station, with a couple of routes, but Hastings town centre can be a little confusing to navigate if you're not a local, or frequently visit.

Best Wifi/internet connection I've seen in a Hotel, ever. The ensuite was good, shower was very easy to use. And it's proximity to the "Old Town" of Hastings and the town centre means plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants within walking distance.

Very cold, heating was on a timer, this was during the time we were out and room was cold when we came back. Had to lay on the bed fully clothed to warm it up before we got into bed. But this was a good experience for our son, he thought it was funny ☺️

Room was really good and our son loved that it had our bed high up and he was below by the window. View was really good as was the location. Was really good value for money well worth the rate.

The double bed mattress was very old and made us fall towards the centre. The window keep the cold from outside (it was during a windy winter day). The parking place in the car park didn't look very safe, was full of teenagers at night with music and smoking and ruff sleepers.

Location is perfect! Great sea view. Room had a lot of character and the staff communication was excellent. The room was refurbished and the bathroom looked great.

I didn’t like the fact that I had no option to book for 1 night only. I ended up booking for two nights but left a day early as I only needed the room for one night. The WiFi connection did not reach my room which was on the top floor. Instead I decided to watch tv but this one didn’t work well either as it kept losing signal.

Good location, room was nice and clean, clean sheets and towels.
