How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Drain smell from the shower

Taxi booked to take us to Gare de Nord charged a booking fee of 7 euros and had 11 50 euros on the clock when we got in! It cost €41 I was told by the hotel clerk it would be about €20 - €25 !
Breakfast was a good selection. Bed was very comfortable and a good Size. Bathroom was small but adequate with a good shower. Staff friendly and helpful.

No power points in the bathroom to use the hairdryer or my husbands shaver. No tea and coffee facilities, had to go to reception to get it.
Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean

The rooms are quite small, but they are well designed. The Gare de Lyon area is not terribly secure at night.
The hotel is clean and being updated. The staff are polite and efficient. The room are modern and comfortable. The bed was narrow but comfortable. The location is convenient for public transport and train. Price is appealing.

The room and bathroom were extremely small but this is typical for Paris. I had a small single room on the 6th floor (top floor). The room was tiny but I only used it for sleeping, so it was OK for me for a 3 day stay. The bathroom was extremely cramped. For taller persons and those needing more bathroom space, I recommend requesting a room with a larger bathroom.
Excellent location. This recently renovated, nicely decorated, clean hotel is an easy 5 minute walk from the Gare de Lyon. My 6th floor room overlooking the side street was quiet, had no street noise, and had a charming French balcony. The bed was comfortable. There is an excellent French restaurant nearby that is a great value for money and that the locals go to: Le Bistro Lyonnais, 6 rue Michel Chasles 75012 Paris. The hotel breakfast cost 15 Euros, was convenient & had a good selection (fresh baguette, croissants, pain au chocolate, expresso/cappucino machine, fruit, yogurt, cheese, eggs, cold cuts, etc.). I would stay there again.

We had to leave our key at the desk when out but they were quick to return it - even when busy with another guest.
We had a very quiet and clean room and everything worked as expected. It is a great location just a block away from Gare de Lyon. The desk workers were very helpful and we were able to leave our luggage early before our check-in time.

Nothing in particular to note, it was a great stay.
It is right next door to Gare de Lyon, making it extremely helpful for getting an early morning train. Hotel breakfasts are always a toss-up, but the breakfast was surprisingly nice, with some hot eggs and bacon to accompany pastries, bread, cheese, yogurt, and fruit salad. The rooms were very clean and the shower and bedding are nice, which makes for a nice stay. Room is pretty small, but for 1-2 people is not a problem at all.

The only reason I don't give it a 10 is because there aren't any tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
This is my favourite hotel for my stays in Paris, clean, calm , comfortable and friendly staff.

Room was too hot and the system is still in winter mode wanting to heat to at the lowest setting is doesn’t cool. I opened the window.

Nothing I didn't like but I would only give it a 10 if they provided tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
This is my preferred hotel in Paris, close to the Gare de Lyon, lovely decor, comfortable, quiet and clean. And the staff are pleasant, helpful and always available.

Bathroom is a bit of a tight fit.

they had been doing some repainting which has made property look very fresh however there was still a strong smell of paint which was not great

No tea or coffee making facilities
Location close to Gare de Lyon and the Seine only 10 mins walk. Great shower and seems very recently upgraded. Nice lighting system and USB plugs by bed.
