How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I had to take the key from a place different than the place where I stayed and then went back to give it back. The check out very early at 11 am

Bed room is a little bit noisy due to next apartment. Television had sometimes noise effect. IH heater didn't work in my stay(I didn't ask the owner, so it might be my misoperation.)
Living room and bedroom is enough space for one person.

Shower holder is broken. It can't really hold the shower head sturdy that caused some issues during shower. Only provided 2 light blankets for three of us to sleep, not great when the apartment is cold. Poor Isolation, noisy.
Spacious apartment, easy and no hassle to collect keys and great location in city center..

Only thing I did not like much is that the apartment is not at the same place you do check-in and check-out at: they’re a few blocks away from each other (5-7 min walk) and we didn’t know that by the time. just have that in mind (that you will have to walk 5 min to get to the place after check-in) and it’ll be easier to prepare yourself to walk with the luggage 😅. besides that, amazing place, location and staff!
Great location! at the best area in Madrid, clean, easy access, safe area, loved it.

parking not available on the streets. 6 blocks and costs $44 a day for public parking
Great location, half a block from LA GRAN VIA! close to Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Plaza del Sol, Plaza Cibeles. safe building, nothing fancy, it has all the essentials

The view from the room
The apartment was clean and it has a super location . It was very easy to arrive every attraction in Madrid. It wasnt necessary to take bus or trains .. everything was around our apartment .. Staff was very polite and helpful ...

The bathroom looked very old; the shower was almost collapsing and the water wasn’t going away in the bath. We booked the room for 3 people but only got 2 sheets ; so 2 of us had to sleep under the same one
The location was perfect; 2 min to a metro and right in the center. They allowed me to check in earlier than was stated which was great ! The apartment had all the kitchen stuff

spot lights color too cold and aggressive floor not cleaned no shelf nor dressing for clothing facilities awful sticking shower sheet and the ridiculous space left to take a shower no coffee machine nor filter not even instant coffee despite the boiling water tool embittered caretaker cleaning violently the entrance while listening to poor music on her phone speaker next to my door

Not easy to check in and hotel room is different located from check in area, have to walk more 500 meter. Hard to contact them cuz they are not speak English and not easy to find check in counter.

The bathroom was dirty, I looked like it was not cleaned at all. There were some hair in the bathtub.

we liked everything
perfect location in Madrid close walking distance to all attractions, grocery, shopping, on top of a famous Taiwanese bubble tea place. Kitchen and washer and appliances was included.

Sofa in living room not folding, ypu cannot use it for the third person to sleep, so of you come in a group of 3, you all have to sleep in the same badroom.
Perfect location to experience best of Madrid. Everything interesting you can reach on foot (Prado, Thyssen Bormisza, Royal Palace, Gran Via, Park of Retiro, etc). Very convenient, lots of alimentary shops nearby, plenty of nice restaurants at reasonable price.
