Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomOnly criticism was that there were flies in the kitchen when we arrived and it took a few days to organise a parking space. But other than that the place was prefect for our needs.
The flat is large and very well equipped. The pictures don't do it justice. It had everything we needed to stay and there was a cot for our little one too. The hosts were excellent and even came to fix one of the electric blinds during our stay. Great location with shops and restaurants and the train station all very close. Trampoline and outdoor space was a bonus for the kids.

Location was fantastic, place was clean and had all what we needed, air condition and WiFi were working very good. We had a free parking for our car ,shops available and restaurants (halal food)too in few minutes around the apartment. Not far from the airport 15 minutes. Nice place for family with 2 kids and for short holidays.

United KingdomI booked this establishment back in January 2023. To be told that it is over booked 1week before booking is criminal. Just an email telling booking being cancelled. Booking.com should also hang their heads in shame. They provided an airbnb option but this was 2 bedroom option I need 3. I had found another option on booking website. I reserved it thinking booking.com would pay the difference. Original cost £460 apartment new hotel booking was £630 because this was not being accepted. I have a wheel chair member we are attending a wedding. This had a roof garden were picture taken in privacy. All this and lack of support and a caring edge from booking.com A very disappointed customer. I hope you improve your customer experience. I have had to book 3 bedroom hotel not what I wanted but in emergency I have to do. Also to be told by your analyst that I have not been charged for the booking when clearly i have. As of writing, I still have not been credit back my funds. All very distressing. Overall when a customer has a problem and is panicking to get bookings in when 6 members are travelling when one is disabled two are OAP in a first world country like Germany feel like third world service from booking.com it just felt get ride of this customer. Very disappointed overall experience.
