Distance from the city centre is very far (30 min by walk). The apartment needs renovation. Not so many kitchen utensils. The towels were old.

The view from the apartment is beautiful. It was great to enjoy the whirlpool.

Location is terrible although great views it’s a long walk from Morro de São Paulo and very hilly on broken paths. The closest beach is only 100metres away but you need to be half mountain goat to get there the route down is dangerous and slippy The resort offers a golf cart transfer that goes part of the journey from the boat to the hotel but you still have a long uphill walk to get to the apartment Maybe the apartment could provide bottles water in the fridge on arrival because the closet supermarket is 10 minutes walk away (Downhill) which means uphill on the way back 😂 The Supermarket can deliver to apartment but to wait 30minutes for water is a challenge

The standard of the apartment was great, It’s really well maintained with all the facilities. The staff are great and the apartments have amazing views.

We loved the relatively remote location with a wonderful vantage point in respect of the views over the Atlantic. The plunge pool was exceptional, especially after a hot day in the town centre.

Apparently Brazilian mosquitoes love Dutch people, and it was easy for them to enter the house as well.

We booked a very last minute stay here for 2 nights, but we wish we could have stayed here longer. The maisonette was amazing, together with the incredible view, the hot tub, and of course our host Alex, made the experience priceless. We read in the reviews before that it was a long walk to the residence, but it was better then we expected, (walking through jungle is not necessary) and in our opinion in a much nicer area of Morro de Sao Paulo. Also when you walk down you are at one of the prettiest beaches of the island in 10 minutes.

Beautiful house, well located and maintained to the high standard. Alex the host makes every effort to make sure the stay in his pousada is nothing but pleasure. Wonderful view. Peace and tranquility but also plenty options for those who would like to explore the island. All one need to enjoy some quality time. The ad and pictures fully reflect the pousada.

Nothing to complain about my stay at Altavista. I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed the beach downhill.

The view is really amazing. Waking up with the view on the bay is quite something. Apart from that, the equipment in the apartment was more than one could ask for (whirlpool, TV with Netflix and co., well -equipped kitchen). Furthermore Alex was extremely helpful throughout my stay.

Alta Vista and Alex are amazing! We loved being a bit further away from the craziness of the first and second beach, but close enough to easily walk to dinner. In particular, we liked being halfway between the main downtown and the beauty of Gamboa beach which we went to most days! In terms of the facilities, the bed was comfortable, the AC was great, the jacuzzi on the balcony was amazing, and the shower was hot. More than anything, Alex was incredibly helpful. He helped us arrange transport to and from Morro, connected us with a massage, and with delivery food options.

Not like we didn't like, but is important that people with locomotion problems know that to reach the place isn't exactly an easy task. You will need to face many stairs to reach the flats and getting there from the pier was quite tiring. The view from the flat and the whole experience was worthy though.

Everything amazing. The flat was spacious, clean, comfortable, amazing view to the sea, bathtub, all appliances for cooking, great bed. Flawless! Additionally we got access to the condominium's swimming pool that has an amazing view to the sea! Alex is very cool and was very helpful and always keeping a good atmosphere. Best staying in Morro ever. Totally recommend it.

The essential equipment was clean but old and in clear need of renewal. Something that is not stated in the description of the hotel is that the residence is in the middle of nature. This is nice when you want to see birds in the morning, but some animals and insects may also access the room, which doesn't have a protective web over the bed. However, we had a very bad experience when we came out of the room and found people cleaning the swimming pool without any warning or consideration that we still were in the apartment. Apparently, cleaners access the room from the upper floor, meaning that even when you close the door, you can still find people in your apartment without being aware of it.

The staff is helpful and does its best to help you in any situation. We loved bird-watching in the morning from the pool which has a wonderful view on the bay of Morro de SP's port.

Location is a bit out of the way, so a quick trip to the shops/restaurants wasn't so easy without the golf cart service. Some bugs in the room (ants, mosquitos) Wifi only worked properly in certain areas of my room.

Place was clean with nice facilities.(comfy bed, proper kitchen). Good aircon. Staff were helpful. Location isn't ideal, but they have a golf cart taxi service from morro that was easy to use (whatsapp to request pick up)

poor service, despite informing the arrival, We waited the host Alex in the middle of the residence after 20 minutes walk soaked and wet because of humidity. No refreshment in the apartment no minibar. You have to order everything from local from the outside and it takes forever to be delivered. Internet connection is really bad. No particular attention is given. It is outpriced for the poor service. not to mention the noisy neighbors when you expect to connect with the nature and you hear loud music.

I can´t understand the 10 out of 10 reviews here in booking. It´s not only the location and how to get there (if you want to have a view from top of a hill, it´s irrational to complain that you have a way upstairs that hill). But what we really felt, that this accomodation needs a lot of MAINTANENCE! Parts of the area were in a quite bad condition, especially the barbeque-place, with empty bottles still standing around, and a lot of rubbish in the corners. The water supply in the toilet of our apartment had to be turned on / off manually, if you don´t want to waste the water running 24/7. The shower infront of the apartment didn´t work due to a broken lever. We were afraid to use the swimming pool, because the color of the water signalised, that it hadn´t be changed or treated with chemicals for quite a while. Because of this we didn´t use the whirlpool either, because it was not possible for us to change the water inside. Alex is for sure a nice guy, but he needs someone professional, who knows how to run a resort like this. No reception. Communication only by whatsapp. Don´t expect some amenities like soap in the shower, bottle of water in the fridge, etc. Don´t expect to get something simple to drink or eat in this place - there is nothing! Too less towels, too less pillows. The bed too hard. Late cleaning in the room after we came back from the beach. The 50m-way to the beach in the description is a joke. If you want to go the direct way to the nearest beach - good luck to go this trail with your Havaianas! Alex, if you read this: Sorry, normally I would tell you this personally (in fact, this is the worst commentary that I have ever written in booking). But your "advise" in your last whatsapp (after we left) to give 10 of 10 points in EVERY category is presumptuous. Knowing this, I have an idea how the 10/10-reviews here in Booking were possible. Sorry to write all of this, but for us the stay felt like a big misunderstanding :-(

The view from the apartment was amazing. Many people already mentioned this and it´s absolutely true. In theory the apartment and the surrounding has everything to give you an unforgettable time on this interesting island.
