The layout was well-planned, such that rarely was there a wait for restroom facilities. The staff was friendly and attentive and readily available for check-in. The grounds are well maintained and very clean considering the number of guests. I extended my stay several times and found each of the different suites comfortable and cozy. A great place to end each day of a Hawaiian island adventure.

Location: So close to beach, hilo and vulcano national park Free Parking nearby Super spacious room with comfortable double bed Very friendly owner Least expensive private room on the whole island, maybe even in whole of state hawaii Kitchen fully equipped, Restrooms nice Nice sitting area outside, and hanging around makes fun too, super quiet to sleep. My favorite Hostel from now on, i would call the whole area with private rooms more like HOTEL instead of HOSTEL

Pretty good wifi. I had to make a video call (which I usually don't do and hate) and it worked fine. Room was comfortable. The road is in bad condition but regular cars can definitely make it. Clean. Very remote. Again, I liked it, but maybe not for everyone.
