Very clean and comfortable. No staff on site so you have to let yourself in/out with codes and keys in lockboxes, which was sort of unusual but also kind of fun and interesting in its own way. So I literally didn’t see anyone else when I stayed there.

Just 1 km from the River Elbe, this hotel in the popular Blankenese district of Hamburg offers spacious rooms, free WiFi, and fast rail connections to the city centre. Breakfast was good. Location is good, too -- 6-minute walk from the Blankenese S-Bahn stop. Very large bathroom, bedroom was large. too. Very quiet. Process for my late check-in went smoothly.

This design hotel is a historic Art Nouveau villa in the elegant Blankenese district, 20 minutes from Hamburg city centre. Great stay at the Strandhotel Blankenese! The concierge was amazing, the room was beautiful and cozy. Plus, we enjoyed a great breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel - an elegant, yet cozy experience in a superb location by the sea.

The staff went above and beyond, and exceeded all expectations: they were kind enough to inform guests about possible road/transport closures way in advance, and kindly warmed up my very own meals. The place itself is straight from a fairy tale, being located in a mansion in a picturesque and peaceful part of the city, you cannot believe, you are a few stations away from the rustle and bustle of Hamburg. Yes, it is not very central, but if you ended up here, you probably know it already. Comfortable beds, huge bathroom. You get access to hot water/tea and there's always fresh fruit on offer. The rooms on top floors have an adjacent balcony, which is an absolute blast, especially in good weather.
